Brendon shut down hi
s previous channel in March/April because he wanted to "get away from the trolls, get away from google" and be exclusively on Vimeo where he could set up a paywall for his content, but then Vimeo shut him down as well so he felt he had no choice but to come back to youtube with hs tail between his legs. Initially he just wanted to have 7-8 videos to support his UNHCR application but then he just kept going and posting new stuff. He obviously touched a nerve though with his last big video which got him shut down within 24 hours (you can still see the short version on his archive.org account). Brendon did not delete his channel on this occasion, youtube did it. He seems fine at the moment (emailed him recently) but he's just burned out and trying to focus on paperwork and getting a job. Guess he's planning on staying in Malaysia for the time being.
