Veteran US Journalist Helen Thomas said that Jews have "total control" over the White House and US Congress, telling Playboy magazine in an interview to be published in April, "Everybody is in the pocket of the Israeli lobbies."

Thomas, who covered the White House for more than six decades, was forced to resign from her position at Hearst Corp. last year, after saying in an interview that Jews should "get the hell out of Palestine" and "go home to Poland, Germany and the United States."

Thomas appeared to show no regret for last year's comments, reiterating in the Playboy interview her belief that "Israelis have the right to exist-but where they were born."
"Why shouldn't I say it? I knew exactly what I was doing-I was going for broke. I had reached the point of no return. You finally get fed up," Thomas said.

Thomas denied claims that she was anti-Jewish. "I think they're wonderful people.  They had to have the most depth.  They were leaders in civil rights.  They've always had the heart for others but not for Arabs, for some reason.  I'm not anti-Jewish; I'm anti-Zionist."

She explained her comment that Jews should go back to Poland and Germany meant "they should stay where they are because they're not being persecuted-not since World War II...If they were, we sure would hear about it." Thomas added that Jews "carry on the victimization. American people do not know that the Israeli lobbyists have intimidated them into believing that every Jew is a persecuted victim forever-while they are victimizing Palestinians."

When asked whether she believed their was a secret Jewish conspiracy at work in the US, Thomas stated that it is "not a secret. It's very open...Everybody is in the pocket of the Israeli lobbies, which are funded by wealthy supporters, including those from Hollywood. Same thing with the financial markets. There's total control."

A clip from the interview:

PLAYBOY: Is anyone asking the tough questions about Israel?

THOMAS: We’re still not getting the full story on Israel. I asked both President Obama at a news conference and Hillary if they knew of any nations in the Middle East that had nuclear weapons. Obama danced around it and said, “I don’t want to speculate.” Hillary said, “Oh, Helen, you’re cute” or something to that effect. She laughed it off.

PLAYBOY: Why would our government remain quiet if Israel had nukes?

THOMAS: Years ago we made a pact with Golda Meir never to say it. In her era, they would never say it, and they can’t say it now because they can’t tell Iran and all these other countries that they have nukes. That’s my opinion. Our government won’t tell the truth, and neither will the Israelis. Everyone knows, but I can’t write “Everyone knows.” You have to attribute it to somebody. Again, you don’t see these stories in the news. You have to go to a magazine like The Nation or the offbeat press to find out what is really happening. They don’t say that in The New York Times.

THE JUDE3 PROJECT

burning the qur’an…again

Nearly six months ago, Terry Jones set the blogosphere ablaze (no pun intended) with his plan to hold a “Burn a Qur’an Day” event. After a great deal of pressure from other churches and the federal government, Terry Jones relented and nixed his ill-conceived attempt at garnering fame.  Well, it appears that his fifteen minutes in the spotlight have yet to expire. Terry Jones is back at it again, this time achieving his goal of burning a Qur’an at an official event. After holding a “trial” of the Qur’an, Terry Jones found the book guilty and carried out the sentence of execution by burning Islam’s holy book. All told, less than thirty people attended the public event held inside the church where Jones is pastor.
One of those in attendance at the event was quoted as saying (referring to Muslims),
“These people, for me, are like monsters,” she said. “I hate these people.” – Jadwiga Schatz (Source)
Perhaps Terry Jones should spend less time burning the Qur’an and more time preaching the Gospel to his church. A well-balanced congregant couldn’t say what Jadwiga Schatz went on record having said. Why not? Because they would know that, “…we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Eph. 6:12) Further still, a balanced member of a Gospel preaching church would realize that we are all evil and we are all “like monsters.” The Psalmist wrote , “The LORD looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God. They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt;there is none who does good, not even one.” (Psalm 14:2-3) Paul repeats this passage in Romans 3:10-18. What people tend to do in reading either of these passages is gloss over that part that refers to “all.”

What Ms. Schatz fails to account for is that if she has indeed been changed by the grace of God (which her comment brings into question), that it is not due to being less of a “monster” than those adhering to Islam, it is because God has acted on her behalf and redeemed her from her sins. As Paul has written,  “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing it is the gift of God,  not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Eph. 2:8-9)
Pastor Jones, spend less time burning the Qur’an and more time preaching the Gospel. Spend less time seeking news cameras and get involved in what many of us are actually doing, “Answering Islam.
