Nouvel attentat islamiste : Macron DOIT consulter les Français par référendum !
"French President Emmanuel Macron has said that a man killed in a Paris suburb on Friday was the victim of a terrorist attack. A middle school history teacher was knifed to death near the school where earlier this month he had shown his pupils cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad, considered blasphemous by Muslims, French officials said.
The attacker was shot dead by a police patrol a few streets away from the scene in a residential suburb north-west of Paris.
"Our compatriot was flagrantly attacked, he was a victim of an Islamist terrorist attack," Macron told reporters at the scene.
"It's not by chance that this evening it was a teacher that this terrorist killed, because he wanted to defeat the nation in its values."
Friday's killing, by targeting a teacher, was interpreted by many public figures as an attack on the essence of French statehood, with the values it espouses of secularism, freedom of worship, and freedom of expression. The victim of Friday's attack sustained multiple knife wounds to the neck, according to a police representative. One law enforcement source said the teacher had been beheaded in the attack. French broadcaster BFMTV reported that the suspected attacker was 18 years old and born in Moscow. Law enforcement officials did not name the attacker or his victim. A police source said that witnesses had heard the attacker shout "Allahu Akbar",..."

France terror attack: Teacher decapitated in Paris suburb named as Samuel Paty
The
French president describes it as a "cowardly attack", saying the man
was killed because he "taught the freedom of expression".
The teacher killed in a suburb of Paris in an Islamist terror attack has been named as Samuel Paty, Sky News has confirmed.
Mr Paty, 47, was "assassinated", France's president has said.
The history teacher, who is said to have discussed images of the Prophet Muhammad with his pupils, was beheaded.
The suspected attacker was shot dead about 600 metres from the scene, according to the AP news agency.
According to Le Parisien newspaper, the attacker was an 18-year-old man of Chechen origin, who was carrying a knife.

French anti-terror prosecutor Jean-Francois Ricard said the suspect,
who had been granted a 10-year residency in France as a refugee in
March, was not known to intelligence services.
He added that a text claiming responsibility and a photograph of Mr Paty were found on the attacker's phone.
The suspect had been seen at the school asking students about the
teacher, and the headteacher said he had received several threatening
phone calls.
In an interview with French broadcaster BFMTV, the
suspect's uncle insisted there was "no way" his nephew could "just go
and cut off a head like that".
He said: "He was discreet, he was nice to everyone, there wasn't anything negative about him.
"If we had known he was into religion, we could have anticipated it, but we actually didn't see it coming.
"If he was alive, I would have told him: 'Why did you do that? What happened in your mind?'
"His father and I would tell him: 'Be careful, don't hang around outside, stay out of trouble.'"
The relative went on to stress "we're not killers" in reference to the wider family, adding: "We never told him to do anything."
He then said he hoped the victim's family would accept his condolences as he apologised to wider France.
"My condolences to the family, I hope they will accept our condolences.
"We apologise - in front of the whole of France - we apologise. The Chechen community is not like that.
"The teacher has done his job; I have nothing against the teacher. I'm sorry, really, we are grateful to France."
Video
of the suspect's last moments is thought to feature the sounds of the
gun being fired, followed by a volley of shots as he was killed.
The fatal shots were believed to have fired after the attacker refused to put down his gun.
The weapon was found at his side. Reports say it was an airsoft gun that fired plastic pellets.
The country's anti-terror prosecutor earlier called the incident a
stabbing, but both the Reuters and AP news agencies said police sources
told them the victim was decapitated.
Witnesses heard the attacker shout "Allahu Akbar", or God is great, Reuters said.
The attack happened on a street in Conflans Sainte-Honorine, northwest of the French capital, at about 5pm local time.
Visiting the scene, Emmanuel Macron
called it a "cowardly attack", saying that the man was a "victim of an
Islamist terrorist attack" and was killed because he "taught the freedom
of expression, of believing and not believing".
The president said France would "protect and defend" its teachers.
France's
anti-terrorism prosecutors have said nine suspects have also been
arrested, including the grandparents, parents and 17-year-old brother of
the attacker.

Families and children have laid flowers at the site of the attack.
Mr Paty reportedly showed images of the Prophet Muhammad in class during a discussion about freedom of expression on 5 October.
A complaint was made and the teacher was later spoken to by police.
Sky
News understands that among those who complained was a parent who
posted a video online about the incident. That parent is among the nine
arrested.
The suspect did not have a child at the school, AP said.
A Twitter thread posted last Friday alleged pupils had been shown cartoons of the prophet.
However,
another parent of one of the teacher's pupils said Mr Paty asked Muslim
students to raise their hands and to leave the classroom before they
were taught about the image.
She said: "My son understood right away - the evening he came home, he understood right away that it was not to discriminate.

Emergency services on the scene where the attacker was shot dead
"He told me, no it was not to offend us, it was images that he didn't
want us to see. My son understood that at no moment he (teacher) had
lacked respect."
The Elysee Palace said that there would be a national ceremony at a future date to pay homage to Mr Paty.
Education
minister Jean-Michel Blanquer tweeted that the republic had been
attacked through the "despicable assassination of one of its servants".
He added that "unity and firmness are the only answers to the monstrosity of Islamist terrorism".
British
foreign secretary Dominic Raab tweeted to express the government's
solidarity with France, saying: "My thoughts are with the people of
Conflans-Sainte-Honorine this evening following reports of a truly
horrific attack. The UK stands in solidarity with France at this time."
It is the second terrorism-related incident since the opening of an
ongoing trial on the newsroom massacre in January 2015 at the satirical
newspaper Charlie Hebdo after the publication of caricatures of the prophet of Islam.
As the trial opened, the paper republished caricatures of the prophet to underscore the right of freedom of expression.
Exactly
three weeks ago, a young man from Pakistan was arrested after stabbing,
outside the newspaper's former offices, two people who suffered non
life-threatening injuries.
The 18-year-old told police he was upset about the publication of the caricatures.
The French man beheaded in a terror attack near Paris has been named as geography teacher Samuel Paty.
The
suspect, an 18-year-old Chechen refugee, was shot dead by police. Nine
people have been arrested, including the teenagers' grandfather, parents
and 17-year-old brother.
Mr
Paty is said to shown his class photographs of Islam's Prophet Muhammed
with his class, which lead to threats, police sources said. Islam
prohibits images of the prophet, asserting that they lead to idolatry.
French
anti-terrorism prosecutor Jean-Francois Ricard said an investigation
for murder with a suspected terrorist motive had been opened.
Ricard
told reporters that the Moscow-born suspect, who had been granted a
10-year residency in France as a refugee in March, was armed with a
knife and an airsoft gun, which fires plastic pellets.
His
half-sister joined the Islamic State group in Syria in 2014, Ricard
said. He didn’t give her name, and it is not clear where she is now.
French president Emmanuel Macron denounced what he called an “Islamist terrorist attack” and urged the nation to stand united against extremism.
Mr Macron visited the school where the teacher worked in Conflans-Saint-Honorine and met with staff.
An
Associated Press reporter saw three ambulances at the scene, and
heavily armed police surrounding the area and police vans lining nearby
streets.
Mr
Macron said: “One of our compatriots was murdered today because he
taught … the freedom of expression, the freedom to believe or not
believe.”
He said the attack
should not divide France because that’s what the extremists want. “We
must stand all together as citizens,” he said.
The
incident came as Mr Macron’s government works on a bill to address
Islamist radicals who authorities claim are creating a parallel society
outside the values of the French Republic.
France
has the largest Muslim population in western Europe with up to five
million members, and Islam is the country’s number two religion.
A
police official said the suspect, who was armed with a knife and an
airsoft gun – which fires plastic pellets – was shot dead about 600
yards from where the male teacher was killed after he failed to respond
to orders to put down his arms, and acted in a threatening manner.
The
teacher had received threats after opening a discussion “for a debate”
about the caricatures about 10 days ago, the police official told The
Associated Press.
The parent of
a student had filed a complaint against the teacher, another police
official said, adding that the suspected killer did not have a child at
the school.
An ID card was
found at the scene but police were verifying the identity. French media
reported that the suspect was an 18-year-old Chechen, born in Moscow.
That information could not be immediately confirmed.
France
has seen occasional violence involving its Chechen community in recent
months – in the Dijon region, the Mediterranean city of Nice, and the
western town of Saint-Dizier – believed to be linked to local criminal
activity.
It was not known what link, if any, the attacker might have with the teacher or whether he had accomplices.
The
attack is the second terrorism-related incident since the opening of an
ongoing trial for the January 2015 newsroom massacre at the satirical
newspaper Charlie Hebdo, which had published caricatures of the prophet
of Islam.
As the trial started, the paper republished caricatures of the prophet to underscore the right of freedom of expression.
Soon
afterwards, a young man from Pakistan was arrested after stabbing two
people with a meat cleaver outside the newspaper’s former offices. They
did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
The 18-year-old told police he was upset about the publication of the caricatures.
In
a video posted recently on social media, a man describing himself as a
father at the school said the teacher who was slain had recently shown
an offensive image of a man and told students it was “the prophet of the
Muslims”.
Before showing the
images, the teacher asked Muslim children to leave the room because he
planned to show something shocking, the man said.
“What
was the message he wanted to send these children? Why does a history
teacher behave this way in front of 13-year-olds?” the man asked.

cartoon of Macron as the Devil, branding him anti-Islamic and claiming
that 'French extremists' had been seen burning copies of the Koran.
Iran
also summoned the French ambassador on Tuesday in protest at Macron's
remarks, calling them 'unwise'. Meanwhile Saudi Arabia put out a
statement saying it 'denounces the offensive cartoons of the prophet'.
Bangladeshis
also added their voices to calls for a widespread boycott of French
goods, with shops in Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan and Palestinian territories
already pulling products including makeup and food from the shelves.

Macron
spoke out in defence of cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed following a
terror attack in Paris, in which a teacher was beheaded for showing the
caricatures to his class.
An
18-year-old Chechen is accused of carrying out the attack after a
campaign against the teacher, started by parents whose children attend
the school. Seven people have been arrested.
Amid
the backlash, France has warned citizens living or travelling abroad
to take extra security precautions amid fears they could be targeted.
The
Foreign Ministry issued guidance to those in Turkey - whose President
Erdogan has been among Macron's leading critics - Indonesia, Bangladesh,
Iraq and Mauritania, telling them to 'exercise caution'.
The advisories said French citizens should stay away from any protests over the cartoons and avoid any public gatherings.
'In
this context, it is recommended to exercise the greatest vigilance,
especially while travelling, and in places that are frequented by
tourists or expatriate communities,' the advisories stated.
A powerful association of
clerics in the Iranian city of Qom also urged the government late Monday
to condemn Macron for his remarks while calling on Islamic nations to
impose political and economic sanctions on France.
In
Saudi Arabia, the country's state-run Saudi Press Agency put out a
statement quoting an anonymous Foreign Ministry official saying that the
kingdom 'rejects any attempt to link Islam and terrorism, and denounces
the offensive cartoons of the prophet.'
The agency did not immediately transmit the statement on its English or French services.
Already
in the region, Kuwaiti stores pulled French yogurts and bottles of
sparkling water from their shelves, Qatar University canceled a French
culture week, and calls to stay away from the French-owned Carrefour
grocery store chain were trending on social media in Saudi Arabia and
the United Arab Emirates.
Protests have
been held in Iraq, Turkey and the Gaza Strip, and Pakistan's parliament
passed a resolution condemning the publication of cartoons of the
prophet.

Meanwhile
tens of thousands of people marched through the Bangladesh capital on
Tuesday calling for a boycott of French products and burning an effigy
of Macron.
Police estimated that more
than 40,000 people took part in the march organised by an Islamist party
which was halted before it could get close to the French embassy in
Dhaka.
Hundreds of officers used a barbed-wire barricade to stop the protesters who broke up without violence.
The
rally was organised by Islami Andolon Bangladesh (IAB), one of the
country's largest Islamist parties, and started at Bangladesh's biggest
mosque.
Protesters chanted 'Boycott French products' and called for Macron to be punished.
'Macron
is one of the few leaders who worship Satan,' Ataur Rahman, a senior
Islami Andolon told the rally at the Baitul Mukarram national mosque.
Rahman
called on the Bangladesh government to 'kick out' the French ambassador
while another leader, Hasan Jamal, said activists would 'tear down
every brick of that building' if the envoy was not ordered out.
'France is the enemy of Muslims. Those who represent them are also our enemies,' said Nesar Uddin, a young leader of the group.
Even
after the rally was halted, demonstrators marched down other streets
chanting 'Boycott France' and 'Macron will pay a high price'.
The
French president's comments on Islam have already led to a diplomatic
showdown with Turkey. Macron said the school teacher 'was killed because
Islamists want our future'.
The UN's
High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet condemned the
'horrific murder' of teacher Samuel Paty on Tuesday, saying she
'unequivocally condemns the murder of the school teacher in France.'
