Merry Christmas to all our friends at TUT
n behalf of all of us here at TUT, we wish all people of good will around the globe a very Merry Christmas.And just as a little historical reminder, let us keep in mind that it was the 3 wise men from modern day Iran bearing gifts and giving them to the newborn Christ child that became the celebration we today call Christmas. It was the Iranians who paid the first diplomatic visit to the Jesus Christ and honored him.
By contrast, the first ‘diplomatic’ visit paid by the Jewish state to the babe Jesus was when Herod learned of the birth of the Messiah and sent his hired killers out to find him and kill him in what came to be known in the bible as the slaughter of the innocents.
As a final reminder as to just who the real friends of Jesus Christ, His teachings and His followers are, let us also consider just a few quotes, the first coming from the Holy Qur’an–
‘And the angels said, “O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary – distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought nearest to Allah.’
And the second coming from the Jewish Talmud–
“Miriam, mother of the Nazarene, was the descendant of princes and governors who played the harlot with carpenters.”
As well as–
“Jesus the Nazarene practiced sorcery and black magic, and led Jews astray into idolatry. He was sexually immoral, worshipped statues of stone, was cut off from the Jewish people, and refused to repent.”
