While my "evolved ape" eyes were lost in Kim Kardashian's padded underwear and Madonna's armpit hairs, Kate Bates broke the enchantment by sending me this damn good article from "counterpunch". Wow! What a rude awakening!
Sorry, ANDRE VLTCHEK, but I was sure I was the one who wrote that article, at least most of its postures, and over and over again for the past decades, but the sheeple never gave a damn, not even my relatives and 'friends'!
I have highlighted in red some of the gems that I found while skimming through.
My comments are in italics between brackets.
I could not just skim and was forced to read the entire 'damn' article, the best I have seen lately, but it is again, sadly, pearls thrown to swines. (BAFS)

The Indoctrinated West
Is it really possible that the European public has no clue what was done to Ukraine? Are the men and women of the continent that lives in hallucination, that it is well educated and well informed, really unaware how its own governments have created and supported that ‘opposition movement’ in Kiev; a movement full of fascists and bigots?
Unfortunately, it is possible, and it is to be expected!
After working in some one hundred and fifty countries, in all the continents, I have finally come to the absolutely clear conclusion: there is no part of the world as brainwashed, so programmed, so indoctrinated, as are both Europe and North America.
There are no people so out of sync with the global reality; people so naively and willing to follow the religious doctrine of market fundamentalism and the self-righteous belief that they, and only they, are the sole guardians of democracy, freedom and virtue, on this planet.
The world is once again in flames, and both Europe and North America (let us please not pretend for one second longer, that the Empire is actually somehow divided between that bad United States and that ‘moderate’ Europe) are bulldozing, demolishing, moving out of their way everything that is still standing straight and proud; everything that is defending those who used to be defenseless, everything and everyone who is dreaming about, and actually building egalitarian and decent societies.
And the great majority of Europeans are clapping. They read their propaganda sheets and they are clapping. And they are engaged in pathetic pseudo-intellectual discussions, (while sipping, Oh! – In such a sophisticated manner, their refined wine and beer), while millions are being murdered by implementing their bigoted ‘interests’.
Entire nations are, again, bleeding, in order to make sure that millions of French or Italian farmers can drive their luxury BMW’s (oh, sorry, in Europe they are not marketed as luxury, but as ‘reliable cars’), consuming enormous subsidies, for producing and often for not producing anything at all.
The subsidies are paid with the blood of African and Asian people.
How many people in poor countries have to die, so some grandma in Germany or the Czech Republic can go to a doctor, for free, again and again, simply because she is lonely or bored staying at home?
Should there be free medical treatment for all? Yes! Yes. It should be free, and for all. But not just for Europeans, while the rest of the world has to pay the going rate!
How many countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America have to be destabilized, so that the Empire can enjoy its privileges? So that the rich there can be even more obnoxiously rich, and even the poorest citizens can afford to live way above those who belong to the middle classes in the countries that are still being plundered by the West?
***
Now, please, I am not trying to be funny and I am not trying to play with words: I am honestly wondering… I am humbly asking: “Are people in the West, particularly in Europe… are they pretending that they don’t know what is happening in Syria, Venezuela, Thailand and now, particularly, in Ukraine? Or have they simply turned into a cynical assembly of brainwashed degenerates?
Where is that fabled diversity? Where is intellectual courage?
Where are huge demonstrations shaking Paris, Rome, Berlin; demonstrations trying to bring down governments that have been destabilizing a huge European nation – Ukraine, while provoking Russia, the nation that saved the world from Nazism (Sorry, I do not buy this one!) and later helped to liberate many African and Asian nations from the claws of colonialism?
Where are those loud voices protesting against the antagonizing Russia? Don’t Europeans know their own history? Russia is not an aggressor; it has been a victim, for at least a hundred years. (Not entirely true! Chechnya, Afghanistan?) Russia was attacked by Europe, again and again, and in just one century, tens of millions of Russian people were slaughtered by European fascists, imperialists and ‘democrats’.
Russia was attacked at the onset of the WWI, then again, after the 1917 Bolshevik revolution (by foreign Jews and Communists and Jewish Western money), by a joint invasion of US and UK troops. Russia was also attacked by Czech legions, fighting their way to the front, against the Austro-Hungarian Empire (and getting there by circling the globe). Czech legions occupied almost the entire area surrounding the Trans-Siberian railroad, raping, looting, and murdering indiscriminately as they progressed.
Then WWII came, before which, both France and the UK sacrificed just about everything that stood in the way of the Nazis towards the Soviet Union. And yes, then the war itself took at least twenty million lives. (I read it was about 60 million lives!) Soviet people vanished in an enormous struggle against Nazism. (But, they gained huge territories - "satellites"!)
Half of my family, of my ancestors, vanished there too, during the siege of Leningrad. (I am very sorry for that!)
The Cold War (It never existed!) was next, and finally that most cynical and Machiavellian act by the West: dragging the USSR into Afghanistan, and destroying it, using jihadi (Not Jihaadi but Saudi and other fanatics, just like now they are doing with BlackwaterXe mercenaries and so-called Al-Qaeda terrorists most of which are perverts, cut-throats and heavily indoctrinated ex-colonials or neo-colonials!) cadres from the Middle East, from South and Southeast Asia.
Finally, the Western puppet – ‘opposition democrat’, Boris Yeltsin – an alcoholic with a clearly decomposing brain, was helped by Western powers, to grab power. And when the Parliament and the Russian people rebelled, Yeltsin sent the tanks in against both Members of Russian Parliament, and the people on the streets. The Western lackey mass media cheered: “Democracy! Victory!”
Thousands of unarmed people died. The 5th Column smashed the Soviet Union to pieces, using lies, using vicious propaganda that came from Washington, London and elsewhere.
And then the West stood suddenly unopposed. It appeared that there was nothing blocking its way, towards absolute control of the world, anymore.
Colonialist nightmares from the past returned. The world became mono-polar. With only one dogma, one ideology, and only one Empire.
And in just a few years after the Soviet Union ‘collapsed’, it became total… Total shit!
***
Is Europe so indoctrinated, is it propagandized to the point that it is really not actually able to recognize, anymore, what their regime has been doing, all over the world?
For years, the West in general, and the European Union in particular, have been destabilizing Ukraine, paying for its ‘opposition’… Wait; damn… what are we talking about? Everybody knows it, right? No? Really? Not everyone?
It is not about ‘proof’ or ‘the avalanche of information’. For years, for decades I have been amassing proof and arguments about the horrendous and unthinkable crimes that the West had been committing on all the continents of the world. I have been painstakingly researching what was going on, sometimes risking my life or ruining my health, sometimes doing it without being supported by anything or anyone… actually, that was the scenario, most of the time.
I was doing it because I believed; I believed like an idiot, I believed day and night, that my findings would shock the world (Would wake up the freedom, justice and morality loving people to popular resistance and revolution), particularly the West… That it will shame the European and North American dictators… (They are shameless!) That what I show will enrage the public… That the horrors that I had witnessed all over the world, will finally end… you know: That bloody idiotic fairytale world of mine: “People will see the truth and force the monsters who are ruling them, to stop killing human beings everywhere on this beautiful planet.”
Today, I have to declare, publicly: I was a fool!
I failed to move people, of course! I tried. (I failed to move even family and friends!) I even dropped the journalistic style in my writing, and I began writing as a poet, as the novelist that I am. (I always wrote and talked fearlessly to the point despite the ostracism and death threats!)
I did it because I realized that nobody cares only about facts! There are facts everywhere. Everything is documented. Coups all over the world, financed and planned by the US – it is all available, easily accessible. Yet nobody bothers to read about it! (Almost nobody!)
I tried other tactics – novels, films, journalism mixed with poetry. Nothing! Nothing pushed Westerners to the barricades. (That was great for an ungrateful world!)
Yes, people like me, we are failing to move, to touch, those who are committing crimes against humanity… and also those who are benefiting from enormous global plunder.
Those, mostly well-fed masses, don’t give a shit: in Europe, or in the United States. Their governments and companies rule the world, and at least most of the citizens of those countries – Those that get some crumbs. Their level of understanding, their political awareness is way below those in Africa, Latin America and Asia, those very people who are being constantly robbed and sacrificed.
To know and to understand… that would make many Europeans and North Americans uncomfortable… That would mean having to take responsibility; to be co-responsible for the crimes committed by Western governments and multi-nationals. It would mean, god forbid, to take action.

In one recent Reuters article, an author argued that China is watching what Russia is doing. Of course, from the tone of the article, right from the beginning, it was clear that, that what Russia, China, Iran and other countries that disagree with ‘Western-style democracy and capitalism’ are thinking and doing is absolutely wrong.
Without inviting Russian, Chinese or Venezuelan polemicists, the author selected the ‘grievances’ of the world, saying that the West should face criticism, by some, for Kosovo and maybe for Libya… Although such criticism would be wrong…
Such a degree of self-discipline and propaganda would be fitting for German newspapers in the 1930’s and 40’s. And it is becoming the norm in both Europe and North America, as well as in many countries in the ‘developing world’, where information is fully controlled by Western funding, training programs and other means of arm twisting.
The propaganda coming out of Europe is so mighty, so potent, that it has blurred the eyes of even those that live in the former colonies of the West, including China, India and Indonesia.
It is not about Kosovo and it is not only about Libya, damn it!
In Yugoslavia, which I covered intensively from all sides, the West destroyed an entire country, a great country, one of the founding members of the Non-Aligned Movement (Indonesia had already paid the price in 1965, with between one and three million people brutally slaughtered, in an US-orchestrated coup performed by the military and religious cadres).
In Africa, an entire continent screams in pain. Pretty close to ten million people, have been slaughtered in the Democratic Republic of Congo alone since 1995, by Uganda, and Rwanda, on behalf of Western geopolitical interests. DRC has uranium, Coltan, and diamonds… Its people do not matter. The Belgian King Leopold II succeeded in killing ten million people there one hundred years ago, by chopping off their hands and burning people alive in huts.
France is involved in all of its former colonies. It is once again as sickeningly brutal as it was in the past.
Mali, the Central African Republic, and almost all the countries in the area are destabilized and close to total ruin.
The US-UK-Israeli coalition is undermining Somalia, using Ethiopian, Ugandan, Kenyan and Burundian forces. South Sudan, an artificially created entity, with oil but no ability to govern itself independently, is now on the verge of famine and civil war. And it is at the total mercy of the West.
Zimbabwe and South Africa are standing tall against Western imperialism, but in both places, the West directly finances the ‘opposition’, and propaganda viciously smears both nations.
Eritrea is facing a direct embargo. For being what is called – The African Cuba (of course nobody knows anything about Eritrea in Europe, except for some educated Italians). (A few knows, like Alain Soral, Dr Salim Laibi, myself and a few others!
Even the tiny and prosperous Seychelles, known for royal weddings and honeymoons, is facing an ‘opposition’ groomed from abroad (particularly from the UK), mainly for its free, excellent medical care, and its Cuban-influenced education system. (I did not know this one!)
In both Uganda and Rwanda, brutal and insane fascist regimes are clinging to power, coached openly by people like Tony Blair (advisor to President Kagame).
The Arab Spring has been fully derailed, and in Egypt, a country with powerful labor movements, that have been openly murdered. In the process, thousands of people have died, as pro-Western military and elites have overthrown a democratically elected moderate Muslim government.
The most horrendous religious regimes like those of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar, are being pampered and defended by both North America and Europe. (Not religious regimes, but CIA-MOSSAD-MI6-ISRAELI anti-Islamic puppet dictators hiding behind sectarian Islam!)
In Latin America, the governments of Honduras and Paraguay have been overthrown; Venezuela has had to face coup attempts and its own brutal ‘opposition’, fully and openly financed by the West. Cuba has survived countless terrorist attacks from the North, and the ‘opposition’ there is also directly financed and supported from abroad. (Americans, Jews and Israelis are known to poison or kill their adversaries by also causing cancer, heart-attacks or other sudden attacks when they cannot assassinate directly. Hugo Chavez, Sheikh Ahmed Deedat, Aaron Russo, Yaser Arafat?)
Bolivia and even Brazil were targeted by the malicious attempts to destroy their left-leaning governments, as is the case with Bolivia, even the geographical integrity of the country has been threatened. (Is Brazil not controlled by the Jewish paedophilia, drug and prostitution rackets?)
In Asia, things go from bad to worse. Both China and North Korea are being literally provoked, often militarily, from US air force bases located in Okinawa and elsewhere. Countries like the Philippines are being openly pitched against China (PRC) by the US, while Vietnam is also being ‘encouraged’ to antagonize its enormous neighbor. (I understood that the Rothschild financiers were controlling China for which reason Chinese goods and crap are allowed to flood the European market, for example!)
It goes without saying that the Chinese ‘opposition’ has been financed mainly from abroad, for decades. (Not only the opposition!) On the contrary, in pro-Western brutal regimes like Indonesia, the Philippines but also Thailand, the West is paying and helping the military and elites to actually control and if necessary, destroy the genuine opposition.
The ‘opposition’ has been clearly employed to ruin Syria (the West created refugee camps in Turkey and elsewhere, to train and arm the so called ‘opposition’ there), Venezuela, Ukraine and even Thailand. It has also caused some great damage to Russia and China, as well as countless Latin American and Caribbean countries. (I saw evidence of Nigerians (and others) trained and indoctrinated here in the UK and sent back to Africa - to do what? Even religious leaders were sent to South Sudan - to do what?)
The West is directly attacking foreign countries, by arming and indoctrinating thousands of people who are then paid to overthrow governments and political systems. (And openly!)
Not only is it illegal – it actually amounts to an act of war… undeclared, and covert, but war. (But, they make and break the laws at will!)
Do the citizens of Europe and North America ignorant of the fact that their governments and companies are fighting undeclared wars and committing acts of terrorism all over the world? (Of course, they know, but they don't give a damn - too heavily zombified!)
And it has been done for decades, with total impunity, it is perfectly well documented and it takes tremendous discipline to overlook it!
I have worked in almost all those places, making films, writing books and reports. I am intimately familiar with what the West has been doing in Venezuela, Syria, Turkey, China, North Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Zimbabwe, Somalia, Congo, Rwanda, the Philippines… (Never regret what you have done. You have done what was right, from a religious and moral point of view! It is a cause worth living and dying for!)
I have proof. But have you noticed that proof is, these days, worth nothing? (Yes! The US puppet President even said it aloud to the entire world that he did not need proof to attack Afghanistan after his government's staged attack on 11 September 2001!) You can come with the most powerful, most damning and shocking proof, but it will move nobody, propel nobody to action… In the West, I mean. In that ‘democratic’ and ‘free’ West!
You can proof that 10 million people were slaughtered, and you will be told: “Thank you… Wonderful! Another cup of coffee?” (If you come with no proof that Six Million Jews were gassed, they will worship you and make you very rich!)
***
And even this incomplete but powerful list of horrors that the West is administering all over the world, is not something that could be defined as new.
It is simply a continuation of colonial culture, of plunders and of mass exterminations, of genocides and holocausts, those that have been taking place for many centuries.
Look at the map of the world at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, and everything will be clear. The West was basically occupying almost the entire planet.
It was plundering thoroughly all that it controlled. It destroyed cultures, raped women, robbed all that it could get its hands on.
Ever wondered from where all that wealth that allowed Europe to build lavish palaces, theatres, museums, public buildings came from?
Of course it came, and is still coming, from the blood of oppressed people, from their hard labor for a pittance, from their sweat, from their humiliation.
And now, people from India, China, Indonesia, Peru, Nigeria, Senegal – they come to Europe and they sigh in front of those tremendous facades of enormous buildings, in the middle of well-manicured parks, on board fast moving trains.
And some say: “What a civilization! What a wonderful part of the world! Here they respect other human beings. Here they are kind to others.” (But, only the "House Negro" types are fascinated!)
Well, it is built from your wealth that evaporated, from the terrible labor of your grandparents, from the rape of your female ancestors, from the cracking of whips on the naked backs of your male ancestors…. It is built on the ruins of your culture, of your civilization. It is all built, because you were left with nearly nothing, and for decades and centuries forced to live in shit… (Holy shit, this is the Gospel truth!)
The majority of people of what is now Latin America vanished! Their religions were destroyed and so were their languages. The Inca people had to obliterate their temples, and from those stones, enormous Christian cathedrals were erected. And they were decorated with gold and silver, dug by once free but now enslaved Incas. In Cusco and Potosi, Quito and Cuenca, everywhere.
Slaves poured out from Africa to Latin America and to North America, as well as to the Caribbean! Entire states in Africa, entire families were ruined, destroyed, uprooted. Human beings were treated like animals, while literary salons in London and Paris were enjoying refined music and perfumes.
Countries like Germany and Belgium performed clear genocides – The Belgians in Congo, Germans in what is now Namibia. (I read that more than 30% of the slaves were Muslims.)
There was no mercy then, as there is no mercy now.
The Christian religion, that outrageous machinery of terror has been part of this for centuries, walking hand in hand with the Conquistadors and Crusaders. Periodically it took the lead in the massacres. The Church had been greedier than monarchies, and it was power hungry, oppressive and brutal.
Christianity, that symbol of Western civilization, brought torture and slavery; it blessed the men and the deeds that murdered millions. (It was not the Christian religion per say, but the Roman established imperialist religion of conquest, mass murder and global plunder adopeted by all European nations.)
So far, there has been no attempt to declare Christianity illegal because of the genocides it performed, strictly based on crimes against humanity. (Established Christianity, yes! The West wages war and send sends out "Christian" missionaries to convert the "savages" in Indonesia and elsewhere!)
***
And this culture is now scalding Russia, China, Venezuela, and Iran – this culture that has murdered billions. And nobody is laughing. No one is rolling on the floor, dying from amusement.
In the Middle East, the Brits bombed and gassed ‘those niggers’ (both Lloyd George and Winston Churchill saw ‘lesser races’ as something worth exterminating, if ‘necessary’), divided nations, manipulated and enslaved them. (Britons are used to genocide and divide and rule other nations!)
‘Divide and rule’ led to horrific consequences later, like the ‘Partition’ of India and Pakistan, or genocide in what is now Bangladesh.
In Asia, just about everything was occupied, plundered and raped, including such enormous areas as the sub-Continent, or China and the archipelago that is now known as Indonesia.
All was neatly divided. French Indochina, British India, and Dutch Indonesia.
Western Empires fought over vast foreign lands and no Europeans protested (as they are not protesting now, against neo-colonialism) against the genocides that were committed by their rulers. Some countries like France ‘successfully’ exterminated a hundred percent of the people on some islands in the Caribbean, and came very close to exterminating the entire population of Rapa Nui in Polynesia.
Rape, looting, murder, have been all over the world. The West still feels that it has the full right to determine who lives and who dies, and who should live which way. (Alain Soral's "L'Empire" is a must read!)
The great Swiss psychoanalyst Gustav Jung described European and Western culture as a ‘pathology’, as an illness. To him, as a doctor, Europe was a patient, a seriously ill one, in constant need to terrorize others, to control, to steal, and to murder. (I agreed wholeheartedly!)
And Jung was not the only one. J. P. Sartre’s writing on colonialism is as damning and also much more detailed. (I am sceptical about Sartre!)
But now, after decades of huge propaganda injections, everything is ‘forgotten and forgiven’. But is it?
Europeans ‘do not know’ what horrors they have been spreading all over the globe. Westerners in general do not know. They are conditioned not to know. They have eliminated almost all ‘comparative thinking’ in their own continent, and simultaneously in their colonies. (I have been a first hand eye witness of that for decades!)
People do not know how to compare, anymore. The media and scholars are discouraged from comparing crimes and brutality. It is obvious why. No continent, no culture, committed such monstrous crimes, performed such horrible and unforgiveable deeds, as Western ‘cultures’ and ‘civilizations’. They committed them and they are still busy committing them. Until this very moment! (But, they love promoting and sadistically forcing the Myth of the Six Million Jewish Holocaust upon the entire world!)
***
This essay is just a brief reminder of ‘who is speaking’! Who is pointing fingers at Russia right now, and who is demonizing China, and calling true Latin American democracies – ‘dictatorships’.
One feels like paraphrasing an old Communist slogan, and shouting:
“People of the world who still have some brain left – wake up and unite!”
It is clear that the West is on an offensive: it tries to annihilate all dissent that has grown since the destruction of the old multi-polar world.
But a new, perhaps better, multi-polar world has emerged. (I hope so!)
Some parts of it are much more informed and educated about the horrific terror that comes with allowing the West to rule over this world, unopposed.
It is not Russia that is ‘on the wrong side of the history’, as Obama recently declared. (That Jewish non and anti American clone puppet!)
It is the West, clearly and patently. And just to say; that it is not good enough… Not good enough, anymore!

Putin puts fear of God in New World Order: Dr Kevin Barrett
Russian President Putin
Wed Mar 19, 2014 6:21PM
By Dr. Kevin Barrett
In
the wake of Crimea's independence referendum, Hillary Clinton says
Russian President Putin is a "new Hitler." Zbigniew Brezezinski, former
National Security Advisor agrees, calling Putin not just another
Hitler, but also a thug, a menace, a Mafia gangster, and a Mussolini.
The Western mainstream media echoes this childish name-calling.
Why is the whole Western foreign policy establishment so afraid of Putin?Because Putin is standing up against Western aggression – not only in Ukraine, but also in Syria and Iran. Ongoing Western attempts to destabilize these and other countries are just the most recent examples of a decades-old pattern of aggression. The long-term goal: Total destruction of traditional nations and values, and the creation of a New World Order global dictatorship.
Since the 1953 CIA-MI6 coup in Iran, the West has been using the same formula to overthrow legitimate but uncooperative leaders: First, sabotage the country's economy. Then bribe corrupt military officers and thugs and pay rent-a-mobs to create chaos in the streets. Next (this step is optional) incite violence by paying snipers to fire into crowds – and maybe set off some bombs. Finally, send the corrupt military units and gangsters to overthrow the target nation's legitimate leader, murder or imprison his supporters, install a Western puppet in his place – and announce that "order has been restored."
The CIA did it to Iran's democratically-elected Prime Minister Mossadegh in 1953, to Indonesia's President Sukarno in 1965, and to Chile's Prime Minister Allende on September 11th, 1973. They did the same thing to Ukraine's legitimate president, Viktor Yanukovych, a few weeks ago. Neocon regime-change apparatchik Victoria Nuland (The assistant US secretary of state,) got caught admitting that the US had spent five billion dollars to overthrow Ukraine's democratically-elected government; and EU Foreign Affairs Chief Catherine Ashton was heard on tape discussing the "news" that the Maidan Square snipers were part of the US-sponsored coup.
The people of Ukraine should be worried. US-sponsored coups can turn very bloody very quickly.
The CIA's 1965 Indonesia coup was one of the biggest holocausts in history. According to Princeton history professor Bradley Simpson, as cited by the Jakarta Globe: "The US and British governments did everything in their power to ensure that the Indonesian army would carry out the mass killings" of more than one million people following the coup against Sukarno. Most of the victims were tortured before they were murdered. The list of names of people to be tortured and murdered was provided by the CIA to their hired Indonesian thugs. While this was going on, five-year-old Barrack Obama was living in Indonesia with his stepfather Lolo Soetoro, who was working for the American mass murderers.
That's right: Obama's stepfather was a holocaust perpetrator.
In 1971, following the CIA's coup in Chile, the American stooge Pinochet murdered 3,000 people and tortured 30,000. These actions were fully supported by Pinochet's American sponsors, who trained and paid the thugs and torturers.
The hecatomb in Syria, too, is best understood as yet another US-sponsored coup attempt.
The NWO-driven Americans and their Western allies have killed tens of millions in these coups, interventions, destabilization campaigns, and undeclared wars. According to André Vltchek and Noam Chomsky's book On Western Terrorism, the total number killed is over 50 million since World War II. If we add to this the number of people tortured, brutalized, falsely imprisoned, forced to become refugees, or who had their lives ruined by Western terrorism, the number of victims reaches the hundreds of millions.
Today, the American terrorists and their NATO allies seem less interested in installing puppet governments than in reducing entire nations to chaos. The CIA-NATO coup against Gaddafi has destroyed Libya as a modern nation-state. Western-backed false-flag terror in Iraq is splitting up that country. Syria is being decimated by a Western-backed attempt to overthrow Assad. Venezuela, too, is being destabilized by a CIA-backed coup effort.
In short, the New World Order – a shadowy group of global banking oligarchs bent on establishing a one-world dictatorship – is trying to overthrow every leader on earth who resists. Russian President Putin is resisting. That is why the Western propaganda machine is calling him names.
It is worth noting that Russia and Iran – the two nations most successfully resisting NWO regime change – are doing so in the name of God.
According to Catholic intellectual E. Michael Jones, the 1979 Iranian Revolution was the opening salvo of a global backlash against secularism's destruction of traditional values. Like the 1980 election of Ronald Reagan (driven by Americans' disgust with the so-called sexual revolution) and the rise of Poland's Solidarity movement (which opposed communist atheism), the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran was a landmark event signaling an end to the 20th-century wave of militant secularism and atheism – and a revival of traditional religion.
President Putin enjoys overwhelming popularity in Russia due to his defense of traditional religious values. In his State of the Nation address last December, Putin said: "Many Euro-Atlantic countries have moved away from their roots, including Christian values… Policies are being pursued that place on the same level a multi-child family and a same-sex partnership, a faith in God and a belief in Satan."
Putin's reference to Satanism was a pointed rebuke to the New World Order elites, who – though they push militant secularism on the societies they are trying to undermine – are closet Satanists. Anyone who doubts this should run the name "Lt. Col. Michael Aquino" through a search engine. Aquino, an avowed Satanist and credibly-accused mass child abuser, was rewarded for his crimes against children with an appointment as Chief of Psychological Warfare for the US military. (For background on the satanic international banking elite, and its near-total control of Western institutions, read Nick Bryant's book The Franklin Scandal alongside the work of Canadian scholar Henry Makow.)
The shock troops of the NWO's war against religion and tradition (and Russia and Iran) are the neoconservatives. Operation Gladio terrorist Michael Ledeen explains: "Creative destruction is our middle name, both within our society and abroad. We tear down the old order every day, from business to science, literature, art, architecture, and cinema to politics and the law. Our enemies have always hated this whirlwind of energy and creativity which menaces their traditions (whatever they may be) and shames them for their inability to keep pace ... We must destroy them to advance our historic mission."
Putin is stopping New World Order "creative destruction" in Syria and Ukraine. He is part of a growing coalition opposing the NWO – not just religious traditionalists, but also progressive anti-globalization forces, including Hugo Chavez inspired anti-imperialists in Latin America.
We are facing an epic struggle between those who espouse sacred values such as justice and decency versus those who wish to destroy all values.
God bless President Putin, who is putting the fear of God into the New World Order.

Top 10 powerful quotes from Putin’s historic Crimea address
When Putin welcomed the West to the concept of international law:
When Putin said that, despite the stereotype, it’s the West who’s acted like a bull…or bear… in a china shop:
“They are constantly trying to drive us into a corner because we have an independent position, because we maintain it and because we tell it like it is and don’t engage in hypocrisy. But there is a limit to everything. And with Ukraine, our Western partners have crossed the line, playing the bear and acting irresponsibly and unprofessionally.”When Putin told the West to get over its Cold War hang ups:
“Today, it is imperative to end this hysteria, to refute the rhetoric of the Cold War and to accept the obvious fact: Russia is an independent, active participant in international affairs. Like other countries, it has its own national interests that need to be taken into account and respected.”When Putin reminded the world Bush-era diplomacy was no way to behave in a civilized world:
“They act as they please: here and there, they use force against sovereign states, building coalitions based on the principle ‘If you are not with us, you are against us.’ To make this aggression look legitimate, they force the necessary resolutions from international organizations, and if for some reason this does not work, they simply ignore the UN Security Council and the UN overall.”When Putin referenced his own NYT op-ed on American special brand of exceptionalism:
When Putin said NATO is welcome at the BBQ, but can’t set up camp in Russia’s back yard:
“NATO remains a military alliance, and we are against having a military alliance making itself at home right in our own backyard; in our historic territory. I simply cannot imagine that we would travel to Sevastopol to visit NATO sailors. Of course, most of them are wonderful guys, but it would be better to have them come and visit us, be our guests, rather than the other way round.”When Putin warned that Western threats would be met in kind:
“Some Western politicians are already threatening us with not just sanctions, but also the prospect of increasingly serious problems on the domestic front. I would like to know what it is they have in mind exactly: action by a fifth column, this disparate bunch of ‘national traitors’, or are they hoping to put us in a worsening social and economic situation so as to provoke public discontent? We consider such statements irresponsible and clearly aggressive in tone, and we will respond to them accordingly.”When Putin reminded Germany that not everyone supported its post-Cold War reunification:
"I believe that the Europeans, first and foremost, the Germans, will also understand me. Let me remind you that in the course of political consultations on the unification of East and West Germany… some nations that were then and are now Germany’s allies did not support the idea of unification. Our nation, however, unequivocally supported the sincere, unstoppable desire of the Germans for national unity. I am confident that you have not forgotten this, and I expect that the citizens of Germany will also support the aspiration of the Russians, of historical Russia, to restore unity."When Putin called out the West for hypocrisy over Kosovo:
“We keep hearing from the United States and Western Europe that Kosovo is some special case. What makes it so special in the eyes of our colleagues? It turns out that it is the fact that the conflict in Kosovo resulted in so many human casualties. Is this a legal argument? The ruling of the International Court says nothing about this. This is not even double standards; this is amazing, primitive, blunt cynicism. One should not try so crudely to make everything suit their interests, calling the same thing white today and black tomorrow. According to this logic, we have to make sure every conflict leads to human losses.”And, of course, when Putin reminded his critics that everyone has their breaking point:
And for those who missed it, here's the speech in full:

Eyewitness account of Israeli soldier killing Palestinian judge reveals barbarity of occupation
Raed Zuaiter, a 38 year-old Palestinian judge residing in Jordan was returning home to Palestine on March 10, 2014. While crossing at the Allenby Bridge border into the West Bank, he was shot and killed by an Israeli soldier. Published accounts of the incident first characterized Dr. Zuaiter – he had a doctorate in International Law – as a “terrorist” who threatened Israeli security personnel.
Soon after the initial blame the victim narrative was released, the “terrorist” descriptor was dropped and Israel issued its “regrets”.
The shooting – and killing – of unarmed Palestinians by Israeli soldiers has recently garnered wide-spread and much-needed international attention. Raed Zuaiter’s death took place during a particularly violent week. The New Internationalist reported that 6 Palestinians (including Dr. Zuaiter) were killed that week alone.
Focusing on a broader time-frame, Amnesty International released it’s report, “Trigger Happy: Israel’s Use of Excessive Force in the West Bank” in February of this year. AI documented the death of 22 Palestinian civilians in the West Bank last year, in what was described as a ” harrowing patterns of unlawful killings” by Israeli forces.
An investigation by the independent Palestinian human rights organization Al-Haq describes in detail the killing of the judge - going so far as to echo Amnesty’s report, in concluding that the IDF “intended” to kill the unarmed and innocent Dr. Zuaiter.
While journalists can file emotionally detached reports, the enormous tragedy of living life under occupation is searingly portrayed by this eye-witness account. Sadly for the young Palestinian woman who shares her hideous experience, these traumatic occurrences happen far too frequently.
I was planting olive trees in Palestine last month as a way of both expressing solidarity with the Palestinian farmers and landowners, and to lower the likelihood of settler and IDF-mediated violence. The idea is that camera-toting internationals deter occupation forces from aggressing against Palestinians working in their fields. Astoundingly, troops in jeeps and full military gear appeared at each field within ten minutes of our arrival. Some days went smoothly. Others proved more challenging.
Earlier today, I received an email forwarded to me from a British member of our olive tree planting group. The email is written by one of two Palestinian women who had stayed in London last week as part of a cultural exchange mission. The email describes the ordeal upon returning to the West Bank. The shocking reality of military occupation is told in the heart-breaking way that only a local eye-witness can.
Here is how she experienced events at the border crossing on that March 10, 2014:
Dear all,
First of all I’d like to thank all this kind people who gave me the chance to represent my community from Sawahra/ Palestine & special thanks for my British friends who hosted me & my colleges generously at their homes during our visit to the UK, I really felt like I was with my family which support us as a Palestinian women & increases our determination to keep struggling towards our rights of freedom, but unfortunately that nice dream where we live in peace & safety for 10 memorable days ended up with KILLING & BLOOD, in our way back to Palestine it was about 8:30am when we were passing the first check point before we move into the Israeli borders, everything was going as normal ( the security check) that we used to face every time we return back to Palestine, until I heard the people screaming (Ohhhh God he killed him)I stand up in the bus horrified & I saw a humanness [ I assume she means "inhuman"]
Israeli guard pointing his gun against poor Palestinian man in his 38th years, & his only guilt to be killed was just because he told the Israeli soldier do not insult me, he was just smoking out the bus & the soldier pushed him cruelly so once he said no for that he killed him as if he is killing an animal , I saw his hand it didn’t shake at all while he was killing that poor man with out any mercy, who is the only son for his family & who didn’t enter Palestine for 3 years ago to return on that day Monday 10th Mar killed on the hands of those who never been humans, after all that they pulled him on the ground from his legs away & they ignored him for more than half an hour they left him bleeding with the blood almost covered all his body till he left the life.
what is killing me is that we all were not capable of doing nothing, he was breathing but, even we were not allowed to cry, after that they covered his body as if nothing happened & we were arrested for more than 2 hours standing on our legs under the sun, no bathrooms no phones no passports or ids, even money, there was children who started crying of being hungry. there were pregnant womens & they even didn’t care, they forced us to leave our belongings in the bus & suddenly we found dogs & hundreds of male guards surrounded us with their guns, for unknown reason they killed the poor man & they insulted us as well with no guilt.
after 4hours of being arrested under the sun they asked us to move our bags from that bus to another by ourself, then they told in silly way that they will bomb that criminals bags as they claimed so no need to fear. finally they moved us to the investigating hall where we spent more 5 hours wishing to investigate each person individually. I cried lots it was like you are watching a horror movie. then I passed the body check they asked me to take off my hijab. then once I entered the investigator room after long hours of sticking on chair waiting, he took my personal information & he asked me in silly way, “what did you see” where was your seat in the bus” who was setting next to that criminal in the bus” what did the people say????? This is the real injustice where the Palestinian people face always, once I returned home I was shocked & I said none just crying for the whole night for our conditions.
I just want you all my dears to spread this email as much as u can to let the whole world understand the reality of those killers , to decide who injustice who in Palestine & how.
Thanks for everything, WS
And our Governments support this barbarity unconditionally?

Active involvement of the state in religious
issues cannot be recognized by religious citizens as legitimate.
Sometimes, religious people will look with wonder how secular people
fulfil time and again religious principles without even knowing. "God is
great!" They exclaim laughing.
"Tameh" is one of the many Hebrew words that are
difficult to translate. "Ritually impure" is a partial translation,
though it is related also to "desecration." One of the characteristics
of something "tameh" is that it conceptually contaminates everything it
touches.
That is the reason for the white sepulchres
mentioned by Jesus: "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!
for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful
outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all
uncleanness" in Matthew 23:27. Graves were marked with clear white so
people would know to avoid approaching the desecrating site.
On March 23, 2014, a developing event provided a
wonderful example of how the State of Israel is perceived and treated as
something ritually impure, contaminating everything it touches.
Sizzling Hatred
Despite the lack of land borders between Israel
and Sudan, the countries are closely related by three hot issues which
define the relation as one of the most violent between Israel and a
Muslim country.
The most innocent topic is the constant flow of
illegal workers from Sudan and South Sudan to Israel, via the Sinai
Peninsula. Their trip is facilitated by Bedouins, who de facto control that desert. In the African workers
section of this website, I expand on the discrimination, inhuman
deportations, and crimes faced by African workers in Israel, including
the Sudanese. Israel discourages them, and is trying to hermetically
close the border with a new fence; along the way, Bedouins badly exploit
the travelers.
The second issue is closely related to the first.
Israel claims that the land route from Sudan to Israel is used for
smuggling weapons. These are channelled mainly to Gaza, but some of them
help the silent and slow uprising of the Bedouins in the Sinai. On several occasions, Hebrew media hinted that the Israeli attacks in Sudan were aimed at blocking this route.
|
The third topic linking the countries is the most
disturbing of all. In September 2010, Israel's Minister of Foreign
Affairs Avigdor Lieberman visited various countries in Africa, namely
Ethiopia, Angola, Nigeria, Uganda and Kenya.
|
"The purpose of my visit is to demonstrate the Israeli presence in Africa," Lieberman said. "I
want to tell the leaders I meet that Africa is important to Israel. We
must not neglect them, especially in view of the efforts by countries
like Iran to influence them and establish themselves there." At the
time of his visit, almost all Israeli activity in Africa was related to
weapon trafficking. Moreover, seven Israelis, all ex-military men, were
then behind bars in four countries on gunrunning charges. All had been
licensed by Israel's Defense Ministry.$
Sudan fits this troubling business of Israel.
Despite Sudan having agreed to give independence to South Sudan, both
countries are fighting over the border between them. Israel chose a side
in the conflict. It is helping South Sudan against Sudan, due to the
oil reserves of the first. Following so many years of violent war
between these famished people, it is difficult to understand why Israel
is promoting violence and another generation of war.
Smuggling Sudanese
African migrant workers and refugees experience
violence in Tel Aviv, to the extent that a kindergarten that accepted
African kids was hit by Molotov bottles thrown by members of the Jewish extreme right.
|
Prominent Rabbi Yisrael Rozen rejected African workers.
He said, "There is no need to say many words regarding the national
danger originating in thousands of infiltrators every month, and in the
many tens-of-thousands of Sudanese and Eritreans that fill up southern
Tel Aviv overflowing from there to all the cities and villages of the
country. They are foreigners who ruin the very fragile demography of
Israel. They don't work, they drink, rape, rob and are violent; they
frighten the neighbors, and because of their numbers, they can't be
spread out one in the city and two in the village. They are an economic
burden, that eats food that is not enough to feed its legal owners!" Was
Rabbi Rozen paraphrasing a Nazi discourse on Jews?
Rabbi Rozen made truly ugly accusations against
the people performing the work that he and his flock refuse to do. His
accusations are unproven and thus worthless. After the Second Intifada,
Palestinian workers in Israel became scarce. These days, Zion is built
by Africans, Turks, Romanians, Thais and Nepalese. If Rozen does not
like that, he should build houses and plant fields himself. Meanwhile,
the state deports Sudanese.
On February 26, 2013, the Israeli government
acknowledged that in the previous months, it has sent back to Sudan at
least one thousand Sudanese lacking work permits. Since the two
countries are technically at war, the workers were sent through a third
country. In the past, Egypt played a role in this, thus probably it was
the intermediator, especially since Israel emphasized that the Sudanese
would not be able to find out that the returning refugees came from
Israel. In other words, they were sent overland.
|
Sudanese passports state that their carriers are
not allowed to enter Israel. Israel's official policy is to avoid
deportations to hostile countries. Israel broke its own laws, and sent
the deported people to a country that will jail them for being in
Israel.
In September 2007, Sudan's Foreign Affairs
Ministry stated, "being in Israel is a crime;" the country's president
stated that Sudanese who had been in Israel will be punished. Israel
acknowledged the threats in various cases that reached Israeli courts;
invariably the State claimed that it would not deport Sudanese to Sudan
because "their lives would be in danger."
Michael Bavli, the head representative of UNHCR
in Israel, declared in 2008, "deporting the Sudanese to Sudan would be
Israel's worst transgression against the UN treaties it signed; it would
be a crime never before committed." In October 2012, this was
officially supported by the UNHCR. Everybody, including Israel, agrees
that the deportations were wrong. Yet, Israel violated the refugees.
"But they were in Israel illegally," self-righteous saints are thinking now. That's inexact. The 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees set a mechanism allowing former illegal border crossings by people being persecuted, the last meaning their Human Rights
being violated. I know because I am such a formally recognized refugee.
The Sudanese refugees fled the still active Darfur conflict, having
faced death danger in their homes.
Israel claims all the deportees left out of their own will. Haaretz, an Israeli newspaper that doubles as the unofficial Voice of the Shin Beth
secret police, claims that the refugees were put in jail and given the
option to stay there or leave to Sudan. Using such definitions it could
be claimed that the Nazi work camps were state-sponsored summer resorts.
Moreover, this exemplary Voice of Freedom explicitly says the deportees
would face death for being suspects of having been recruited as
Zionists spies.
Haaretz make the claim already on December 14,
2010, when 150 Sudanese refugees were deported by plane. This brave act
was performed via a third country, probably Zionist-complacent Egypt,
because terrorist aircraft are not allowed to land in Sudan.
Under threat, the deportees were forced to sign a
document titled "Willing Deportation." This was forced by Israel's
Population Authority, which refused to explain its crime. The Foreign
Affairs Ministry and Ministry of Justice claimed that the topic was
under the jurisdiction of the Population Authority and thus they could
not comment. Why do the People accept such answers? Countries must
answer; they are not above the law, even if they are Zionists, even if
they are named "Israel."
Evil in this case cannot be restricted to the
Population Authority, a second rate institution in charge of
formalities. It is unthinkable that the Ministries of Foreign Affairs
and Justice were not aware of the forced deportation. It is unthinkable
that they didn't, at least, silently agree to the event. This is
state-originated evil. Following the always growing list of Israeli
crimes in Africa, a new one was added: smuggling of Sudanese. The entire
operation, especially the use of a third country as a decoy towards the
Sudanese authorities, is nothing but state-run human trafficking, the
smuggling of refugees against their own will. The international
community, as always, is blind to Israeli crimes.

Smashing Sudan
Before reaching the current development, the history of recent Israeli attacks on Sudan must be mentioned.
An explosion took place during the night between
October 23 and 24, 2012, in Yarmouk, a weapons factory in Khartoum, the
capital of Sudan. The installation was attacked by four planes and
devastated by the subsequent fire. Local sources reported on a crater
and rocket shrapnel in the area of the factory.
|
Sudanese Vice President Ali Osman Taha and
Information Minister Ahmed Belal Osman blamed Israel after a short
investigation. Taha stated that Sudan will retaliate, saying "Israel is a
country of injustice that needs to be deterred." Local media reported
on the protests of denizens, who shouted "Death to Israel" and "Remove
Israel from the map." This was the last of a string of mysterious
attacks on Sudan, which apparently originated in Israel. This assessment
was strengthened by the Israeli reaction. The Prime Minister's Bureau
refused to react at all, while the IDF Spokesperson said: "I will not
comment on the report." In the Israeli jargon, such a refusal to deny the attack is equal for recognition of responsibility.
Reports of Israeli violence in Sudan abound.
Sudanese newspapers claimed that Israel's Air Force bombed vehicles
twice this month, though Sudanese officials denied the report. Foreign
media linked Israel to two previous and similar attacks. In May 2012,
the Sudanese government claimed that one person was killed when a car
exploded in the City of Port Sudan. It also claimed that the event was
strikingly similar to a blast last year that killed two people and that
it had been blamed on an Israeli missile strike. Before that, in 2009,
another similar strike took place in Eastern Sudan.
On December 15, 2011, vehicles in South
Sudan—which gained independence from Sudan in July 2011—were bombed,
four passengers died in two cars. Three days later, another car was
bombed; all its passengers died. The Sudanese newspaper al-Intibaha
blamed the Israeli Air Force in both cases, and reported as well on the
landing of an Israeli Apache helicopter in a South Sudanese radar
station.
All these events were dwarfed by an attack on a
convoy in Sudan in January 2009; international media reported 119 dead
people. In the first week of May 2012, Sudan's al-Intibaha newspaper
reported that Israel was transferring logistical and military equipment,
including missiles, to South Sudan. This was quoted with no denial by
Hebrew media. This air-convoy was performed by daily flights, which
landed in one of South Sudan’s airports every night at 3AM. Israeli
media reported all the violent events mentioned in these paragraphs,
always adding to its articles "foreign media blamed Israel." The reports
were neither denied nor confirmed. This formula of the Hebrew media
fits events in which the Mossad is involved.
Considering these, Sudanese suspicions of Israel can be easily understood.
Sudan Strikes
On March 22, 2014, Sudan arrested a ring of informants working on behalf of Israeli intelligence.
Allegedly, they had provided Israel with
information that facilitated the 2009 attack on a weapons convoy and the
airstrike on an arms factory in Khartoum in October 2012.
|
The arrested had arrived at Israel as refugees
and deported back to Sudan. Upon arrival, they became criminals just for
having been in Israel.
|
The Palestinian Authority faces a similar problem, to the extent that it recently fired Shin Beth agents infiltrated in its ranks.
Many Sudanese in Tel Aviv were approached by the
Shin Beth anonymously. Most of them were made into a distraction to the
Sudanese intelligence. They were innocently provided with enough data to
convince everybody that they were some kind of low level informants,
but just that. They were cruel decoys created by a heartless nation.
After the decoy was created, he was expelled back at his country, where
nothing good expected him.
Among them, a few informants may have been real
agents. We will never know for sure, but it fits Israel's methods.
Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and Syria have supplied plenty of
examples. Jonathan Pollard in the USA is the best known example in this
category.
A secular state worshipping the golden god of
humanism, Israel unwillingly follows the religious ritual impurity laws.
Whatever it touches, whatever it gets involved in, gets impure. A few
men, most of them probably innocent, were purposely desecrated by Zion
and now will rotten in a Sudanese prison. May God have mercy on their
souls.

Top World’s Richest Actors List
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is second on rich list, beating Tom Cruise and Johnny Depp.
By Orlando Parfitt | Yahoo UK Movies News – 1 hour 42 minutes ago - Thursday 22 May 2014
Some of the richest actors in the world are not who you’d think.
In a list published by Wealth-X, the planet’s richest actor is Jerry Seinfeld, with a personal fortune of £486 million.
His wealth mainly comes from the ‘Seinfeld’ sitcom, which (as of 2013) has earned more than £2 billion in syndication fees since it ended in 1998. The comedian takes a major cut of this thanks to a profit-sharing deal with Warner Bros., who own the rights to the show.
[Tom Cruise shuts down trafalgar square]
Perhaps more surprising though is the name in second place - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan – who’s made way more cash than Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp and Tom Hanks – an estimated £355 million.
Khan, 48, is a veteran of more 50 Hindi films and has won eight prestigious Filmfare Best Actor Awards (considered the Oscars of Bollywood).
Despite his relative anonymity in the west, he may well be the world’s biggest film star with more than a billion fans, according to some estimates.
He owns IPL cricket team the Kolkata Knight Riders and has homes in Mumbai, Delhi, Dubai and London.
Tom Cruise is third on the list, a relative pauper with just £284 million in the bank.
Next up is another relatively unfamiliar name in the UK at least; Tyler Perry. An actor, producer and director of TV shows and films aimed at African-American audiences, including the Madea franchise and Tyler Perry's House of Payne, he’s made £266 million.

Perry’s wealth is based on retaining full ownership of his projects through his production company, and by cornering this underserved and lucrative niche in the American entertainment industry.
Wealth-X, who created the list, describe themselves as “the definitive source of intelligence on the ultra wealthy with the world’s largest collection of curated research on UHNW individuals, defined as those with assets of US$30 millions and above”.

Madonna Admits She's 'Tried Every Drug Once' As She Poses Topless In Edgy New Shoot
She sure as heck isn't mellowing with age...
By Jennifer Ruby | omg – 11 hours ago
She was the Queen of Shock back in her 20s but turning 56 doesn't seem to have changed Madonna's love of causing controversy.
The pop superstar might be a tad older, but she sure as heck hasn't lost her edge, posing topless for Interview Magazine and opening up about her past drug-taking.Well if you've still got it...
Proving that she's still up for discussing, well, just about anything, Mads revealed that she's taken pretty much EVERY drug in existence over the years.
Why? TO GET CLOSER TO GOD OBVIOUSLY.
She told David Blaine, who has guest-edited the mag: "It's about how people take drugs to connect to God or a higher level of consciousness.
"I keep saying, 'plugging into the matrix'. If you get high, you can do that, which is why a lot of people drop acid or do drugs, because they want to get closer to God.
Er, okay.
She added: "But there's going to be a short circuit, and that's the illusion of drugs, because they give you the illusion of getting closer to God, but ultimately they kill you."
Mads went on to admit that, despite giving everything a bash, she always regretted taking drugs as soon they hit her bloodstream.
She said: "I mean, I tried everything once, but as soon as I was high, I spent my time drinking tons of water to get it out of my system.
"As soon as I was high, I was obsessed with flushing it out of me. I was like, 'Okay, I'm done now'."
But apparently all of this recreational drug taking was just because of Madonna's OBSESSION WITH DEATH.
She continued: "I became obsessed with death, and the idea that you never know when death will arrive, so one has to do as much as possible all the time to get the most out of life."
Keeping things bright and breezy, yeah, Mads?!

E3 Harelbeke organisers' long history of cheeky - and 'sexist' - blunders
Organisers of Belgian race make monumental gaffe with latest outrageous promotional poster.
E3
Harelbeke may be over a month away, but the organisers of the opening
cobbles classic of the season are already feeling the pinch thanks to
the latest in a long line of risqué promotional posters.
Branded
by its detractors as anything from 'tacky' to 'offensive', 'unfunny' to
'sexist', the offending poster shows a gust of wind catching the hem of a
podium girl's dress to reveal a derriere clad in a blue pair of
knickers emblazoned with the E3 Harelbeke logo.
The final part of
the marketing jigsaw comes in the form of a cyclist's be-gloved hand
stretching out to pinch the girl's backside - a clear reference to the
lamentable actions of Peter Sagan on the Tour of Flanders podium in
2013. "Who will squeeze in Harelbeke?" runs the caption.
It's
a promotional gamble which has seen the organisers receive a fierce
backlash, and now the posters have had to be pulled as a result.
Cast
your mind back to the time when Sagan kept on finishing runner-up: no,
not earlier this month or even last year, a little bit further back to
the 2013 spring classics.
With Flanders winner Fabian Cancellara
being kissed on the cheek by podium girl Maja Leye, Sagan was
photographed pinching her bottom while smiling like an excitable school
boy. If you don't remember the scene, here's a little reminder...
Well,
it turned out that Sagan had a bit of a track history - not just in
finishing second, but in treating women like objects (or objects like
women, were you to look at things through his eyes or - let's be honest -
the eyes of any professional race that still favours the addition of
scantily clad ladies to spice things up on the podium).
For just
over a week before finishing second to Cancellara in Oudenaarde, Sagan
had found himself in exactly the same position on the E3 Harelbeke
podium - and was caught on camera making a 'bum patting' gesture towards
one of the girls giving Spartacus a hug.
Although
Sagan's antics caused widespread indignation - so much so that the
Slovakian was forced to make a grovelling online video apology for his
wandering hands - the organisers of E3 have clearly thought they could
dig up the demons of a sorry episode everyone hoped was dead and buried.
Sandwiched
between Milan-San Remo and the Tour of Flanders, it's fair to say that
the punchy one-day Belgian classic has a bit of a bum deal when it comes
to its place in the calendar.
But does that give the race the right to make such a monumental gaffe?
It's
not as if it's the first time E3 has provoked outrage: over the years
its organisers have unashamedly sought to drum up publicity with posters
that are clearly designed to irk with a smirk.
In 2011, the
race's official poster had a naked women lying suggestively on the grass
while black silhouettes of cyclists climbed over her Cat.1 buttocks and
up her back towards her shoulders.
In
response to the inevitable criticism, E3 organisers had their tongue
firmly placed in cheek when they came up with their poster for the 2012
edition of the race, which replaced a Page 3-style model with a
66-year-old granny dressed in pink beneath the (not wholly inoffensive)
caption, "Germaine is ready. Who dares wins in Harelbeke?".
Well,
Tom Boonen dared to set up an encounter with Germaine (real name
Paulette Van Neste) and the pair duly came together on the podium amid
guffaws, both real and virtual.
A year later, and the organisers
had seemed to find the right balance. The 2013 poster showed three kids
pedalling over the cobbles on wooden tricycles - one in Boonen's Belgian
national champions jersey, one sporting Fabian Cancellara's
Leopard-Trek top and the third boasting the rainbow jersey of Philippe
Gilbert. The caption: "Winning E3 Harelbeke is no child's play."
Funnily
enough, there doesn't seem to be any old tweets kicking around with a
copy of this poster - probably because no one was up in arms about its
lack of sexism or general creepiness. Even the children don't look like
they were either harmed or exploited (although I dare say they got paid
less than any of the scantily clad women on E3's books, past or
present).
But it was a return to form in 2014 with a poster
showing one women riding a bike made up of three other women in white
body paint underneath the caption, "Who is the quickest?".
Returning
to Sagan and his role in inspiring the latest controversial E3 poster.
It could be argued that the former Cannondale rider - who now turns out
for that bastion of decency, Oleg Tinkov - inadvertantly did feminism a
favour in 2013 by switching the attention on the absurdity of the podium
girl's lingering place in modern day cycling.
But the 2015 E3
Harelbeke poster does seem to make light of that, turning back the clock
with a snigger, which is probably why so many people find it offensive,
dated and crass. Indeed, while E3's other posters are just a bit smutty
and suggestive, this one actually seems to advocate an action which,
let's not forget, is tantamount to sexual harassment.
Only last
year, UCI President Brian Cookson was quick to condemn a seemingly
suggestive and revealing Colombian women's team kit, claiming it was
"unacceptable by any standards of decency".
Forget that in that
case the kit was actually designed by one of the team's female riders;
perhaps it's time for Cookson to break his silence and clamp down on
such misogyny and sexism from those who organise WorldTour races -
however playful. Who knows - we may then even see an E3 Harelbeke
women's race one day.
Until them, it's probably best to highlight the ridiculous nature of the whole episode with this...
Perhaps
the saddest thing of all was that here we have a week when Chris Froome
and Alberto Contador went head to head for the first time in the
season, with the British rider coming out on top by just two seconds in
an absolutely thrilling battle in Andalusia, and we're talking about a
sexist promotional advert for a race a whole month away, channelling on a
ship that we thought sailed two years ago.

Depraved Marie Black and her gang
of paedophiles face jail for acts of child abuse including playing
poker to decide which boy of girl would be raped. The 34-year-old was
convicted of 23 counts including rape and inciting a child to engage in
sexual activity and is due to be sentenced on Monday 28 September
alongside Michael Rogers, 53, of Romford, Jason Adams, 43, and Carol
Stadler, 60, both of Norwich.
Black wept hysterically when she was found guilty
at Norwich crown court in July and shouted: "I've been stitched up!"
Rogers, was found guilty on 14 counts including cruelty, rape and
inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. Jason Adams, 43, from
Norwich, was found guilty on 13 similar counts. Stradler was found
guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm but clear of nine other
charges. Ten people – six women and four men – had been on trial
accused of the abuse of five children.During the trial jurors were told how children were subjected to a decade of harrowing ordeals and treated like "sexual playthings". The jury heard that the gang would force the children to have sex with each other and the adults would play poker to see which child they would abuse. One victim told how Stadler would tell him that they were going to see a chiropractor, but instead he was taken to a building near an industrial estate where he was raped by a man wearing a black uniform. Black would also have sex with men in front of the children and take photos of the abuse.
The sadomasochists would conduct the abuse at locations in Norwich and London and would inflict pain upon the children while sexually abusing them. So routine were the attacks that the children came to view them as "normal". "I just thought it was usual, that everybody did it," one boy said.
Defendants Anthony Stadler, 63, Nicola Collins, 36, Andrew Collins, 52, Judith Fuller, 31, Denise Barnes, 43, and Kathleen Adams, 85, all from Norwich, were cleared on all counts.
