India’s Case Has Weakened After Two Years on the tragedy but Washington is using it to blackmail Pakistan. Here’s How.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—Two year later, no one has probed the international aspect of the planning for the Mumbai attacks. Both India and the United States are focused only on the alleged Pakistani part of the attacks. The Pakistani part is limited. The international dimension of the planning and preparations for the attacks is vast and full of leads that have been deliberately suppressed by the Indian and US governments.
India is focused on settling political scores with Lashkar-e-Tayyeba. The United States insists on becoming a party to the Mumbai attack and is using the group’s name to peddle conspiracy theories about LeT’s ‘global ambitions’ in order to pressurize Pakistan on the Afghan front and rid India of one of its most formidable Kashmiri foes.
India is yet to convict the lone surviving terrorist in the attacks, Ajmal Kassab. New Delhi is yet to reveal crucial parts of its own probe, especially any information on the backgrounds and identities of the ten terrorists who carried out an impressive attack against India on Indian soil with near impunity.
By delaying the conviction of Kassab for two years, India has lost the credibility of its case and weakened its allegations against Pakistan. The only reason there’s no conviction is because there’s no evidence. And as time passes, more information emerges about the international aspects of this crime. The new information further weakens India’s get-Pakistan campaign.
That’s good news for Pakistan. But there’s a whole bundle of trouble for Pakistan that has developed since 2008. It would be suicidal for the Pakistani government to ignore it:
1. India has used the attacks as cover to settle scores with Kashmiri and pro-Kashmir groups like Lashkar-e-Tayyeba [LeT]. These groups have given India's military a bloody nose in Kashmir in the 21 years since the start of armed struggle by Kashmiris against Indian occupation. These groups are naturally based in Pakistan due to a large number of Pakistanis being of Kashmiri heritage and because of Kashmir’s geographical contiguity with Pakistan. India has used the attacks to advocate Israel-style limited aerial strikes inside Pakistan against the offices of the Kashmiri and pro-Kashmir groups. Perpetrators of Mumbai attacks must be punished, but India and its enthusiasts in Washington must not be allowed to use this as a pretext to suppress legitimate Kashmiri freedom activism.
2. There is no evidence so far linking LeT and other Kashmiri or pro-Kashmir groups to Mumbai attacks. The India’s case is built on two threads. One is the person presented by the Indian police as the lone surviving terrorist. If the Indian version of interrogations is to be believed, Ajmal Kassab is supposed to have provided an insider account of alleged Pakistani/Kashmiri/LeT involvement. Experts know that young operatives in such terror cases are often low-level pawns with little knowledge about the real organizers and planners. Knowing this, it is easy to see how this suspect can't provide useful info beyond a certain point, which is his immediate involvement with the group that carried out the attacks. And even here, it is worth exploring why Indian interrogators failed to extract and release any information about the other 10 attackers: their identities, names, places of origin, etc. The second thread on which India's case is built is the Internet. There's a lot of confusing material on voice-over-Internet and cell phone communications passing through third-country telecom networks. This involves several countries beyond Pakistan and India. It makes Mumbai attacks a truly multinational crime and suggests possibilities for the involvement of criminal and intelligence cells in those third countries in some aspects of the Mumbai attack plan. This contradicts India's position that all investigation be focused on Pakistan and pro-Kashmir groups.
3. The CIA-FBI angle: What confirms the point above is evidence that a longtime FBI agent, a half-Pakistani named David Headley, was recruited by CIA and planted close to LeT and other pro-Kashmir activists in Pakistan. Islamabad has smartly refrained from commenting on his case. The Indian government has its own suspicions but it too won't probe the Americans too hard on them beyond occasional murmurs. This further weakens the Indian case in any impartial judicial review.
4. The US is exploiting Mumbai attacks more than the Indians. Washington is making itself party to the case simply because one or two Americans were involved. This is fascinating because an Australian priest and his two underage kids were burned alive in 1999 and Australia never pursued the case. Nor did any of the American Christian organizations that are at the forefront today in demonizing Islam.
5. This fall, Washington has come out with incredible and fantastical theories about a threat to US and Europe from LeT. In some cases US officials have put LeT ahead of al-Qaeda as a bigger threat. US officials have also tailored new threats to suit LeT's Mumbai-related profile by, for example, insisting that Europe is facing the possibility of 'Mumbai-style attacks.' US officials have also theorized that LeT suddenly has 'global ambitions'. None of these American presentations and conspiracy theories comes with evidence. The LeT and other Kashmiri groups were created because of massive Indian military atrocities in Kashmir, including rapes and Serbian-style mass graves. Victims produce motivated cadres that seek revenge. They are focused on Kashmir and India's role in this tragedy. These groups and their activists don't have global ambitions.
6. It is US policy now that Pakistan relinquish its historic claim to Indian occupied Kashmir. If Pakistan complies, it won't have any reason to object to a major Indian role in Afghanistan in support of the United States and as part of a common Indian-Pakistani-American-NATO front hedging China, Iran and Russia.
The one crucial recommendation that Pakistan's political and intelligence officials must consider before it is too late is this: Declare firmly and clearly that Pakistan will not and cannot be held responsible for terror attacks in third countries carried out by the citizens of those countries. David Headley is American. So is Faisal Shahzad, and the Germans alleged by CIA to have traveled to the Pakistani tribal belt through Afghanistan and are planning ‘Mumbai-style’ attacks in Europe.
Alleged future attacks are being linked to the Pakistani tribal belt to help Washington push Pakistan into a new war in that region. Making such claims has become easy for the US and British governments.
Pakistan should India and the United States from exploiting Mumbai. And the best way to do this is to demand a wider probe into the full aspects of the Mumbai carnage and not limit the investigations to the Pakistani connection, which is weak and circumstantial at best.

He pleaded guilty in a bargain deal with the authorites that prevents his extradiction to any other country (read India).
Headley, a US citizen of Pakistani descent, has since pleaded guilty to having a hand in the Mumbai shootings and planning an attack on a Danish newspaper for carrying a cartoon of Prophet Mohammad.
What if the FBI had acted on these tips? Or it did? Did it have anything to do with the fact that Headley was an agent of the Drugs Enforcement Agency? Or was it simply another missed opportunity?
But this information was never shared with India. In fact, the US had initially dithered giving Indian investigators access to Headley causing a minor diplomatic rift. In fact, India wanted to try Headley.

1. The US has a record to manipulate terrorist group to work for its own interest. Or sometimes they call it (terrorist group) the opposition group. One sample is that CIA supported Majahideen in Afghanistan in 80s to fight against Soviet Union and later turns some group into Al Qaida as a false flag. Al Qaida still works for US intelligence. They created 911 to justify Bush's mid-east war. They bomb Iraq civilians in mosque to provoke conflict between Sunni and Shiite so giving US an excuse to stay in Iraq. (and to ask for more money from the House)
A terrorist group can't survive unless it is supported by some power. Because it needs money and weapon. So is the terrorist group in India.

My comment: It was a well planed elimination. In which three high ranking police officers were shoot to death before they were going to find the black hand behind the extremist groups in India. They died in a trap set up by perpetrators. The news now says two gunmen raided the Nariman Jewish house on 11/26. It seems nothing was done on 11/27. At 7:00 on 11/28, commandos descended on the roof of the Jewish house. At 18:15 they declared the victory. Two gunmen achieved all this. Do you believe it?
The elimination of the three high ranking ATS police officers gave an important motivation of this terror attack. They were the target of this terror attack. The news later was full of the propaganda that "terrorist target on Americans and Britons". That is not motive. The local Hindu terror cell, targets on Muslim, have no hatred on American and British civilians. The accused Pakistan Lashkar-e-Taibe has no motive too. They target on India - for the land of Kashmir. Both have no motive. And both have no record to deliberately kill Americans or Britons. How could they suddenly go crazy to waste so large a resource to create new enemy? They even can't reach their own goal.
It is old tactic of Feds to tarnish Islam. When the media report that suicide bomber killed dozens of innocent civilians in market; when "Al Qaida" kept bombing mosques to kill innocent Muslim; do you believe someone really would sacrifice his own life to kill other innocent people? Mumbai bombing inherits this tradition - Al Qaida's or more accurately: US intelligence's.

Indian anti-corruption official: state “orchestrated” Islamist terror
Mumbai atrocities enabled by intelligence operations of India, "Pakistan" and the United States

A senior Indian police officer and anti-corruption investigator last month accused the Indian government of orchestrating the Mumbai terror attacks which occurred nearly seven years ago, according to an Indian government official.
R. V. S. Mani, a former undersecretary in India’s home ministry now in the urban development ministry, testified in July that a senior police officer who investigated the 2004 ‘encounter killings’ of four Indian Muslims in Gujarat by the Ahmedabad Police Crime Branch, had told him that the 2008 Mumbai attacks were “set up” by the Indian government.
The police officer, Satish Verma — currently Principal at the Police Training College in Junagadh — is well-known for his secondment to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), India’s elite anti-corruption law enforcement agency, to lead the probe into the 2004 ‘encounter killings.’
The 2004 victims were Ishrat Jahan Raza, a 19-year-old girl from Mumbra, Maharashtra, and three men — Pranesh Pillai (alias Javed Gulam Sheikh), Amjad Ali Rana and Zeeshan Johar. Gujarat police authorities with the support of Indian government officials claimed that the killings were justified due to credible intelligence linking the four to Islamist terrorists.
Anti-corruption investigator blames government for terror
According to Mani, who has signed affidavits submitted to court on the encounter killings, Satish Verma privately accused successive Indian governments of “orchestrating” not only the Mumbai terror attacks, but also the December 2001 terrorist attack on the Indian Parliament in New Delhi.
Verma made the allegations while questioning Mani on Indian government claims that intelligence proved Ishrat Jahan’s links to Islamist terrorists. According to the Times of India, the former home ministry official revealed in his affidavits that Verma had said the terror attacks were set up by the government “with the objective of strengthening the counter-terror legislation.”
Verma allegedly claimed that:
“… the 13.12. 2001(attack on Parliament) was followed by Pota (Prevention of Terrorist Activities Act) and 26/11 2008 (terrorists’ siege of Mumbai) was followed by amendment to the UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act).”
According to the Times, Verma refused to confirm or deny Mani’s account of his allegations. “I cannot speak to the media on such matters. Ask the CBI,” he said.
Neither Verma or Mani could be reached for comment.
The allegations have been used by the Indian government to cast doubt on Verma’s role in the CBI investigation
This is not the first time that the Indian government has attempted to use Verma’s work against him. In April last year, Verma complained before India’s Central Administrative Tribune that he was a target of government harassment due to its “intense dislike” of his work investigating the Israt Jahan fake encounter case, and the Gujarat government’s role in it.
Staged counter-terror operation
All three incidents — the 2001 attack on Parliament, 2004 ‘encounter killings’ and the 2011 Mumbai attacks — have been linked to terrorists from the al-Qaeda affiliated Pakistan-based group Lashkar-e-Taiba, which also has close ties to Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI).
The CBI’s investigation into the controversial 2004 ‘encounter killings’ found that they had been “staged” by Gujarat police forces, concluding there was no evidence justifying claims that Ishrat Jahan and her fellow victims were members of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
The verdict, outlined in the CBI’s 2013 chargesheet, stated that the police attacks were carried out in cold blood, and “staged” by Gujarat police and the government’s Intelligence Bureau (IB):
“The abovesaid fake encounter was a result of Joint operation of Gujarat Police and SIB [State Intelligence Bureau], Ahmedabad. In this operation the overt acts committed by the accused Gujarat Police officers have been established by the evidence on record.”
The CBI chargesheet corroborated the conclusions of an earlier investigation by an Ahmedabad Metropolitan court, which in 2009 had determined the killings were staged Gujarat intelligence and police officials.
Gujarat authorities claim that IB intelligence showed that Ishrat and the other men were planning to assassinate Modi on behalf of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
But according to the CBI probe, “the four people were illegally confined at three different farmhouses for days before the encounter on June 15, 2004.” India’s NDTV reported that the CBI probe had confirmed that weapons found near their bodies, including an AK-56, “were supplied by the Intelligence Bureau.”
India’s Intelligence Bureau: creating terror to fight terror
The Indian state of Gujarat, where incumbent Indian Prime Minister Narenda Modi was chief minister during this period, is home to a sizeable Muslim minority.
Reviewing the CBI chargesheet and related evidence, Indian journalists Hartosh Singh Bal and Mihir Srivastava noted that the CBI probe had confirmed the role of senior Indian IB officials, “including at least in one case the then IB head in Gujarat, Rajinder Kumar,” who is close to Narenda Modi.
Bal and Srivastava interviewed several senior IB officials who confirmed that “the Ishrat Jahan case was a successful IB operation,” but denied that the encounter victims were disassociated from terrorism.
“The encounter was fake no doubt, according to them, but the information that Ishrat and the other three were part of a larger terror network was true. They went on to say that this was a successful intelligence operation, as the IB was able to infiltrate their sleeper cell and plant informers.”
Bal and Srivastava’s account of one of these interviews provides further alarming evidence of the extent to which counter-terrorism intelligence operations can facilitate terrorism. One high-level Intelligence Bureau executive told the pair:
“… there are hundreds of operations underway at any point of time where an informer has been planted in a sleeper network. This involves being in the company of drug and arms dealers, fake currency smugglers, explosive experts and contract killers. Some operations involve working with the mafia and dealing in and supplying arms. There are safe houses in which certain terrorists are kept, briefed and debriefed, then pushed back into the terror network to extricate information.”
In one particularly alarming passage, the journalists recount that IB officials confirm about 5,000 telephone numbers are being monitored in Delhi. On “special occasions” Indian intelligence services make bespoke IB simcards “available to terror networks and sleeper cells to monitor their activities…
“There have been a few cases where attacks were carried out by terrorists using IB simcards. ‘If these cases were to be investigated, the CBI would say the IB carried out terror attacks. We have a job at hand,’ says the IB official.”
In this context, the revelation that CBI Israt Jahan probe member Satish Verma reportedly accuses the Indian government of facilitating other terrorist attacks linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba raises fundamental questions about the extent to which the lack of democratic oversight over intelligence methods is compromising national security.
The triple cross behind the Mumbai atrocity
Those questions are also relevant in light of the fact that alleged Mumbai attack terror mastermind, David Coleman Headley, was a longtime CIA asset and triple agent.
A previous Times of India investigation in late 2013 found that Headley, who had worked for the CIA for eleven years, had penetrated Lashkar-e-Taiba on behalf of the US intelligence agency and collaborated closely with senior Pakistani ISI officials in planning the Mumbai attacks, which killed 166 people and wounded 304.
Senior intelligence officials from a US Joint Terrorism Task Force described Headley as a “prized counter-terrorism asset,” whose “proximity” to the attack plans allowed the CIA to repeatedly tip off their Indian counterparts. But, the report revealed, despite his instrumental role in creating and executing those plans, Headley “was allowed to remain in place even as the attack was realized.”
A US intelligence official with expertise on Afghanistan and Pakistan denied that Headley was ever connected to the CIA on condition of anonymity.
Yet Headley’s intimate ties to the US intelligence community emerged in the 2011 Chicago terror trial of Headley’s alleged co-conspirator in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, Tahawwur Rana, during which Rana’s attorney Charlie Swift described Headley as a “master manipulator” who worked simultaneously for the US Drugs Enforcement Agency (DEA), the CIA and Pakistan’s ISI.
Those allegations raised in court were vindicated when Swift obtained a ‘not guilty’ verdict for Rana for the Mumbai attacks, although Rana was instead convicted of providing support to Lashkar-e-Taiba.
According to the Times of India investigation by British journalists Adrian Levy and Cathy Scott-Clark, the Americans wanted to keep Headley running due to how he had gained the trust of a senior al-Qaeda operative, who was close to Osama bin Laden and among the al-Qaeda chief’s potential successors:
“Indian intelligence agents accused their US counterparts of protecting Headley and leaving him in the field, despite the imminent threat to Mumbai. Irate Indian officials claimed that Headley’s Mumbai plot was allowed to run on by his US controllers, as to spool it in would have jeopardized his involvement in another critical US operation.”
The CIA, on the other hand, pointed the finger straight back at India. One senior CIA official accused Indian intelligence of “incompetence” for failing to act on the US agency’s multiple detailed warnings of an impending Islamist assault on Mumbai.
Although many of the US bulletins even reached police authorities patrolling Mumbai, the intelligence warnings were “ignored or downplayed” by Indian officials according to the Times.
Ironically, both the CIA and Indian accusations and counter-accusations all appear to bear significant merit. US officials have maintained a studious silence on David Headley and his CIA patronage to this day, refusing to throw light on the conflict of interest that enabled the Mumbai terror mastermind to “run amok in the field,” in the words of the Times.
Simultaneously, the lack of an in-depth Indian government postmortem into the Mumbai attacks has permitted Indian intelligence agencies to evade awkward questions about their failure to pursue the CIA’s leads on the unfolding plot.
Cover-up
It is not just the Pakistani ISI, then, that has scrambled to cover-up its complicity in the Mumbai attacks. American and Indian intelligence agencies are also busy playing the blame game while maneuvering to conceal their own dubious roles in running ill-conceived intelligence operations enabling the terror attacks.
When under interrogation by Indian police, Headley was under the supervision of FBI officials at all times. Under his plea bargain with US authorities, he agreed to say no more than what he first confessed to the FBI, and in return will avoid the death penalty in the US, as well as extradition to India or Pakistan.
Confidential Indian intelligence records show that Headley had three local contacts on the ground in Mumbai who assisted him with his surveillance and reconnaissance activities in preparation for the terror plot. Yet for reasons unknown, Indian authorities chose not to investigate Headley’s local connections as identified in these files.
Even Headley’s alleged Pakistani handler, ISI officer Sajid Mir (also known as Sajeed Majeed) who played a major role in the Mumbai attacks, continues to operate with impunity.
Despite the US, French and Indian governments possessing detailed intelligence on Mir’s international terrorist activity, Pakistan continues to protect him with few objections from the West.
This has not stopped US and Indian intelligence agencies from giving each other a helping hand where it counts, while still pointing fingers.
Under US supervision and constrained by the terms of his plea bargain, Headley told Indian intelligence officers who had flown to Chicago in July 2010 that Israt Jahan was a member of Lashkar-e-Taiba’s suicide bomb squad.
Yet Headley’s reconnaissance missions for Lashkar began two years after Jahan and three other men were killed in the ‘fake encounter’, staged by Indian authorities according to a CBI investigation.
Headley’s claim was leapt on by Gujarat authorities to justify their story of the 2004 encounter killings.
Both US and Indian authorities, it seems, are keen to discredit the shocking conclusions of the CBI’s anti-corruption investigators.

Acts of terror
There is no agreed definition of terrorism, but, according to the CIA, terrorism is the « premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant targets by subnational groups or clandestine agents, usually intended to influence an audience. »According to former US Attorney General, Ramsey Clark, his country (the USA) is « the greatest purveyor of violence in the world ».That same country finances the worse kind of terrorist acts, the extermination of a large part of the population in Palestine as well as carries out acts of barbarity against defenceless citizens in both Afghanistan and Iraq.The US officially has the greatest army of mercenaries in the world, Blackwater, with 140,000 "contractors".
In recent history, people have witnessed terror against Native Americans, Aborigines, Maoris, Vietnamese, Indians of the sub-continent, Algerians and more.While the lands of the Aborigines, Maoris and Native Americans have been stolen, India became independent at the cost of partition giving birth to Pakistan and Bangladesh (formerly East Pakistan).But the world is still witnessing European terror through invasion of sovereign countries, such as Iraq and Afghanistan, and the murder of hundreds of thousands of their people.The terrorist occupation of Palestine by Jewish Europeans, the killings of her people, including women, children and babies have been going on for half a century !
For her part, India is still occupying Kashmir, which was part of Moghal Hindustan, against the will of the Kashmiris, and committing unspeakable acts of terror against them.It is also a common practice for States which perpetrate and sponsor acts of terrorism to organise false flag operations against their own people and allies in order to blame the 'enemies' and rally support for their 'cause'.Often, they are caught but they are above the law.For example, members of the Irgun Jewish terrorist movement dressed up as Palestinian army officers attacked the British HQ at King David Hotel in 1946 Palestine.During the six-day war in 1967, the Israelis attacked USS Liberty and murdered many US non-combatants in an attempt to blame it on Egypt and suck the Americans into the war. (Ref. Phil Tourney, survivor of the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty).Apart from the official conspiracy theories, it has been demonstrated that the 9/11 terror attacks against the World Trade Centre (WTC) and the Pentagon in 2001 were an inside job with Israeli involvement.In January 2000, Indian intelligence detained 11 'Muslim preachers' on the ground of hijacking conspiracy, but they turned out to be Israeli nationals sent with false passports to infiltrate Muslim organisations in India and were released.Similarly, the five dancing Israelis arrested on 9/11 « as suspected conspirators » when they were celebrating the attacks against the WTC were all released.[Ref. The Record, New Jersey, 12 Sept 2001].On 13 Sept 01, The New York Times reported that the group of five men (who turned out to be MOSSAD agents) had set up video cameras aimed at the Twin Towers prior to the attack.
The recent terror attacks against the Marriott Hotel in Pakistan on 20 Sept 2008 had the hallmark of a military operation and not that of "Muslim terrorists"!Similarly, the well planned and sophisticated attacks in Mumbai on 26/11 by attackers against various targets, including the Taj Mahal and Oberoi Hotels, killing around 200 people have immediately been blamed on "Pakistan, Al-Qaeda and British Muslims".The Indian authorities say there were 12 such attackers, but many others 'escaped'.
« The deadly embrace » - CIA-MOSSAD connection
There is no denying that the United States and Israel have been grooming India to become a regional superpower for their benefits.In so doing, they have to persuade India that she is a victim of terror herself, especially from her enemies in Pakistan, occupied Kashmir and Muslim extremists within India proper.
Lal Krishna Advani, former Deputy Prime Minister of India [2002-2004], former President of the nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), strong advocate of Hindutva (Hindu nationalism) and current Leader of the Opposition, met the heads of the MOSSAD when he visited Israel in June 2000 and advocated "closer India-Israeli cooperation on all security matters". [Note : Israelis were responsible of security during both the 9/11 and 7/7 attacks!].In the same year, The Times of India reported on the Israeli presence in India : « Israeli counter-terrorism experts are now touring Jammu and Kashmir and several other states in India at the invitation of Home Minister Lal Krishna Advani to make an assessment of New Delhi's security needs.The Israeli team, headed by Eli Katzir of the Israel Counter-Terrorism Combat Unit, includes Israeli military intelligence officials and a senior police official. »Indiahas forged a strategic alliance with Israelto perfect India 's methods of occupation of Kashmirwhere all Indian atrocities, mass graves of Kashmiris, shootings of civilians, rape and human rights abuses are brushed under the carpet like the atrocities perpetrated against Palestinians.
India's responsibility
The US have allowed India to set up military training camps in Afghanistan, and they are training, arming and financing rebels who are being sent to Pakistan to destabilise the government. The MOSSAD, Hamid Karzai and India are fuelling ethnic insurgency in South West Pakistan where China is building a strategic port. In addition, with her nuclear and military deals with the US and the launching of an Israeli satellite as the MOSSAD increases its control of India, India seems to pay lip service to her diverse peoples with a high risk of further partitions of India. Remember, it was India which financed and armed East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) to breakaway from then West Pakistan.She also boasted the sinking of alleged pirate ships within Somali coastal waters (19 Nov 08) to help the US and pro-US Saudis. Given India's behaviour, she should have been better prepared to prevent and deal with such attacks and not leave her people and visitors open to such risks.In this light, the Indian Home Minister Shivraj Patil and National Security Advisor M.K. Narayanan have submitted their resignations (Sunday, 30 Nov 08).
The blame game
The first reaction of the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was to blame Pakistan.But witnesses suggested that the attackers « are probably members of an Indian militant group rather than foreigners » (The Independent, 27 Nov 08).It is also reported that the attacks were claimed by an unknown group called « Deccan Mujahideen » and the « Indian Mujahideen » from South India and trained in Bangladesh.Other suspects are a Kashmiri freedom group called Lashkar-e-Taiba held responsible for the bomb attacks on trains in 2006 and, of course, Al-Qa'ida which, apart from being a CIA-MOSSAD database, is a non-existant organisation.The Indian government asserted that some of the attackers were British-born Pakistanis from Leeds, Bradford and Hartlepool.It was also alleged that some have Malaysian and Mauritian links.
But, in spite of pointing his finger at Pakistan, in a telephone conversation with Pakistan PM Yousuf Raza Gilani on 28 Nov 08 PM Manmohan Singh urged Gilani to send his spy chief to share intelligence over the Mumbai attack.Pakistan has agreed to send a senior official to India.It does seem very strange that, even though there may be 'Pakistanis' among the attackers, Pakistan would be responsible for such an attack after President Asif Ali Zardari recently told the Indian government that Pakistan would not be the one to resort to first use of nuclear weapons, an announcement welcomed by India. It seems more likely to be the work of external forces, with internal complicity, which do not want peace between those two sister countries and sister communities.The plan is clearly to provoke a war between India and Pakistan as Pakistanis want to detach themselves from US murdering ventures.
Hindutva
As reported by Andrew Buncombe in Delhi, The Independent Thursday, 27th November 2008, « most of the attacks have been blamed on extremist Muslim groups but, in recent weeks, police have rounded up 10 members of what they say is its first Hindu terror cell ».In early November 2008, the Mumbai Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS), headed by Hemant Karkare, arrested 10 Hindutva extremists, including Dayanand Pandey (a prominent religious leader of Uttar Pradesh) belonging to Sangh Parivar, an umbrella organisation comprising the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Bajrang Dal, and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, in connection with the 8 Sept 2006 Malegaon bomb blasts in a Muslim cemetery in Maharashtra killing dozens of Muslim pilgrims and injuring scores more.The ATS investigation has uncovered connections with the Israeli MOSSAD whose Indian home-grown agents have infiltrated many Hindu organisations in India, as well as connections between the Indian military and Hindu extremist groups.In the very early hours of the Mumbai attack on 26/11, the unknown terrorists eliminated Hemant Karare, Head of the ATS, along with Mumbai's additional commissioner of police Ashok Kamte and high-level police officer Vijay Salaskar, The Times Of India reported.The killers must have had inside information as Indian security services have been infiltrated.One of the 'unknown' terrorist caught on CCTV camera at the Chattrapati Shivaji railway station wore a sacred Hindu wristband.The victims included Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Jews, Indians, Britons, Americans and a Mauritian.
Conclusion
India has the strength to overcome this trauma.She must and she will take all necessary measures to prevent such carnage happening again on Indian soil and make all efforts to live in peace with her neighbours and resolve the issue of Kashmir peacefully.At the same time, India must look at the underlying causes of this serious problem and review her association with the perpetrators of terror and occupation around the world as well as the infiltration of terrorists into local organisations and her security services.India must return to her non-aligned philosophy, demand the removal of all terrorist occupiers from nearby countries and the closing of the terror base at Diego Garcia Mauritius.India must understand that she does not form part of the European West which is in quest of hegemony and world domination.If India allows herself to be recruited into this Axis of Evil, the destruction and further partitions of India seem inevitable.India's 'security' arrangements with Israel and the US may well be the source of her problems as they do not serve Indian interests.

Specific information about Headley's trips were passed on to the Federal Bureau of Investigations by Headley's wife during investigations into her complaint of domestic violence against him in 2005.
In at least three interviews, Headley's wife told FBI investigators in New York of his trips to Pakistan to train with the Lashkar-i-Tayyeba, said a report by ProPublica, a non-profit US news entity, on Friday.
Headley and his wife lived in New York then; he ran video stores owned by his family in Manhattan.
The ProPublica report quoted federal sources to say the wife -- who was not named for her safety -- told the FBI that Headley had shopped around for night vision goggles and other equipment.
The wife also told agents that Headley had talked about working as a paid U.S. informant while he was training with the Lashkar in Pakistan, ProPublica said quoting a person close to the case.
Headley was arrested for domestic violence, but no charges were pressed against him. His next arrest came 11 months after the Mumbai attacks on a tip passed on to US asuthorities by British intelligence. Headley was arrested in October with an accomplaice Tahawwur Hussain Rana, a Canadian citizen. He pleaded guilty in a bargain deal with the authorites that prevents his extradiction to any other country (read India).
Headley, a US citizen of Pakistani descent, has since pleaded guilty to having a hand in the Mumbai shootings and planning an attack on a Danish newspaper for carrying a cartoon of Prophet Mohammad.
What if the FBI had acted on these tips? Or it did? Did it have anything to do with the fact that Headley was an agent of the Drugs Enforcement Agency? Or was it simply another missed opportunity?
But this information was never shared with India. In fact, the US had initially dithered giving Indian investigators access to Headley causing a minor diplomatic rift. In fact, India wanted to try Headley.
