Mattress Firm refuses to sell to Muslim woman

Syeeda Hussaini has suffered from neck pain the past few years, to the extent that it’s difficult for her to drive and get a good night’s rest.
So on a recent weekend, she, her husband, and their three kids loaded up the car and drove less than a mile to Mattress Firm. Her husband, Mohammad, encouraged her to lie on different beds to see which one felt best.
She said the store manager approached, but oddly didn’t want to help. He told the family that he wouldn’t sell them a mattress for security reasons, she said.
Hussaini, 27, who is Muslim, covers all but her hands, feet and eyes in public to show respect for femininity and her religion. She said the manager told her she needed to show her face for service. Mohammad, a pathology resident at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, tried to explain that his wife dressed this way to be modest, much like Catholic nuns. But the manager stomped off, they say.
Hussaini wrote a letter to a regional representative of the company after the March 12 visit to the store. An official at Mattress Firm headquarters in Houston said the company “has a zero tolerance policy on racial and religious profiling.” Spokeswoman Sunni Goodman would not comment specifically about the manager, but she confirmed the encounter happened.
“As soon as we were informed of the incident, we took appropriate action to address the situation,” she said.
The manager no longer works for Mattress Firm.
Other retailers at the shopping plaza on Highlands Boulevard Drive in Manchester said it’s not unusual to see women fully covered. The Dar Ul Islam mosque, the most established of about a dozen mosques in the St. Louis area, is just a few miles away.
There have been other recent complaints in the region. Advocates said emotions are running high since a Muslim community center was proposed near ground zero in New York and since a Florida pastor burned a Quran, the holy book of the Islamic faith.
“It’s harder to be a Muslim in the United States now than at any time since 9/11,” said James Hacking III, a lawyer and head of the Muslim task force of the American Civil Liberties Union of Eastern Missouri.
“With more Muslims being a part of society, there is going to be more interaction,” he said. “A small minority of people don’t like having Muslims around. For the most part, Muslims live side-by-side with their neighbors without incident.”
Sometimes complaints are settled easily, he said. For instance, a misunderstanding in March involving an employee at a high-end hotel in Clayton was told to shave off his beard. The company made an exception to its policy on facial hair after it was explained that the employee wore a beard for religious reasons.
Other incidents seem more serious. On Monday, two of Hacking’s Muslim clients filed a lawsuit in St. Louis County against Bankers Life and Casualty Co., and Daniel Colvis, a branch manager in Chesterfield, alleging violations of the Missouri Human Rights Act.
Ali Badran and Warrad Warrad of Florissant, who were sales agents at the life and health insurance company, claim that Colvis “repeatedly made disparaging and defamatory comments” about their race, religion and ethnicity in front of other employees. Colvis is accused of making hostile comments to the plaintiffs including, “please don’t blow yourselves up.” He allegedly told Warrad to shave off a neatly trimmed beard and asked both of them if they were related to Osama Bin Laden and if they danced on 9/11.
Colvis fired Badran in 2009 and Warrad in 2010, even though they had stronger sales histories than non-Muslim agents, according to the lawsuit.
At his office Friday, Colvis declined to comment on the lawsuit through an assistant and forwarded inquiries to the company’s corporate headquarters in Chicago.
“We believe the lawsuit is without merit, and we intend to defend it vigorously,” said spokeswoman Barbara Ciesemier, declining to respond to follow-up questions.
Last Sunday, a threatening note and three burned Qurans were reported at a mosque in Springfield, Mo., that was vandalized in January.
“A lot of this is generated by Internet hate,” said Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council On American-Islamic Relations in Washington.
Asked about the Springfield incident and others, Pamela Geller, executive director of Stop The Islamization of America, wrote in an email: “Many recent incidents of this nature have been perpetrated by Muslims.” She added, “I condemn all acts of stupidity, but let’s get the facts first.”
Clothing in particular has been in the spotlight this week. A new law in France took effect Monday forbidding women to cover their faces in public. Women reportedly risk a $200 fine; males face a $43,000 fine if they force women to wear a veil.
Hussaini, of Manchester, said she wants to be covered and is thankful to have the opportunity to do so in the United States. She dons an abaya, or full-length outer gown; hijab, or head scarf; and niqab, or veil.
She admits that kids can be startled by her appearance in public. “Mommy, there’s a monster,” is one comment she has heard. But she said some mothers ask Hussaini to explain to their children why she wears what she does.
She eventually found a mattress, but not an apology.
Goodman, the company spokeswoman, said a regional salesman followed up with the Hussaini family a couple weeks ago to apologize and invite them back to the store. Syeeda Hussaini said that has not occurred.
Shaken after the visit to Mattress Firm in March, the Hussaini family went to another company in Brentwood, then another in Manchester.
“They let me try out all the beds and they were fine,” she said.
She ended up buying her mattress online.

Some threatened me of arrest, and in most cases (all), I always lose my case! Yet, I never went to Court when I am in the wrong! They are damn right when they say truth is not a defence in their Satanic Courts! I do thank Jewish Rabbi Saul, also known as Paulus or Saint Paul for warning us to keep away from those Satanic Judges!
The Roma Empire, and now the Jewish Talmudist Illuminati Empire, has fooled the entire world into believing they have such a thing as a Court of Justice. Their Courts are mere Courts of piracy! And, the bully (I have known all or most magistrates and judges to be bullies) very gladly and most sadistically sentence the innocent party as if it is the guilty one. Why does he or she do that? Simply because the people, irrespective of how they have been mind controlled, brainwashed, manipulated and indoctrinated, give the pirates the power to do so Many of us know this is happening in almost all Courts and most of us are scared to death to do anything about it. We speak out (although we are not allowed to in the mainstream or in our work place). We demonstrate, petition, complain, but we always seem to apply the wrong remedy to the disease or mysteriously incapacitated to have recourse to the correct remedy.
What is the truth? Who can handle it? Most of us cannot handle the truth when confronted with it! The Ancient (Mesopotamians, Babylonians, Syrians, Egyptians, Persians, Hindustanis, Greeks and Arabs), came up with a series of Good Commandments or guidelines for all humanity to follow for the betterment of one and all and for the preservation of healthy physical and spiritual life and of the environment. Thousands of years later, we see that humanity as a whole is not allowed to obey those Commandments of the Wise except in individual cases because those who rule over us have made other Commandments that always benefit only the Élite and the rich and powerful. The Élite is not human, cannot be human as its records have shown for centuries, whether it is those controlling the Vatican, Israel, the US, the UK, the UN, the EU or the Satanic Secret Societies.
When the Commandment of old says we cannot have any other gods except the One True God who created us (the best explanation humans could ever give about the presence of life and in particular of humans on this planet), the people of the world have been forced by the Evil ones to worship all kinds of other gods except that One True GOD! The gods being forced upon us are the UN New Age Satanic ones, the Godless State ones, Earth and sun gods and Gaia, Ishtar, Sun gods, Nimrod, Isis, Valentine, Halloween, Hollywood, Bollywood, and others.
David Icke, despite all his sincerity and great works and telling so many truths about so many things – vaccines, chemtrails, Satanism, Mosanto, the Illuminati, the Vatican, the European monarchy, 9/11, Lady Diana’s murder, 7/7, and so on, he is possessed by some forces that make him preach a religion of many gods he calls in turn energy, vibration, consciousness, wave, frequency, etc. “Christ consciousness is energy … the Godhead has created certain beings directly … sons and daughters of GOD; Jesus is one of them and there are many others…beings have been created by various beings not necessarily by a being that we know as God … we have the ability to also create beings … re-incarnation is a learning process of evolution …” he said) He is definitely manipulated by invisible forces and finds himself today having to exonerate Jews of all their crimes and blame it exclusively on the “Rothschild Zionists”, but he does not realise that this religion may be accepted by the entire world, yes, the entire world but NEVER by Muslims.
However, he is not all wrong when he says Islam has inherited much of Judaism and Christianity that may make it too lose part of its credibility. But, when David Icke believes and preaches that Islam is an established religion that has been devised by the Illuminati (Freemasons or whatever) in order to control the mind of the masses, he cannot be taken seriously, although many do. Islam is real, not any figment of the imagination. It is the best Way of Life for humankind whether GOD exists or not! Muhammad is real whether he is the Prophet and Messenger of GOD or not! The Qur’ân is real whether the Evil ones burn to the last copy of it or not! The Islamic Shari’a will always be alive whether or not they ban it in the entire world!
When the Commandment says we must not covet and steal, coveting and stealing have become the only religion of the powerful monsters who rule over us. The West has military bases in most countries that do not belong to them and is invading most countries who refuse their tyranny, bombing them, destroying their civilisations, stealing all the wealth and enslaving them.
When the Commandment says we must not make any false testimony, again the rules of this earth do only this day in and day out. They lie, are deceitful and truth has no value at all for them. They run Secret Societies to control us and Terrorist Death Squads. The greatest lie is when they say Mankind evolved from the apes or that the White Supremacist evolved from the Black African!
When the Commandment says we must not adulterate, we are ourselves more and more the product of adulteration. We eat adulterated food and drinks. We allow ourselves to be indoctrinated in adulterated science and arts. We let our daily behaviour become adulterated, including our religion and our very soul.
When the Commandment says we shall not murder. Every morning for the past decades I never woke up without reading that these monsters have killed dozens of hundreds of people to satisfy their lust for blood, either through wars, assassinations or simply economic deprivations and orchestrated famines and artificial calamities.
When the Commandment says we cannot enslave people, the powers that be do exactly this and on a global scale. Modern slavery is very real. But, like Al Hajj Malik Al Shabazz (Malcom X) once said, we have a clear distinction between the field Negro and the house Negro. Unfortunately, most of us suffer from the house Negro complex or Syndrome and like to live for ever as happy slaves even when millions of us are regularly sent to the slaughter house! As long as it not yet our turn, we refuse to be concerned because of our selfish ways!
The best of all Commandments, as confirmed by Muhammad, remain: Love GOD with all your heart, mind and soul, and love thy neighbour as thyself. But, if we chose hypocrisy, selfishness, hatred, falsehood and injustice as our daily way of life, we are practicing the religion of Satan, Diin as Shaytaan and not Diin Islam. Let us get the Jews out of all the top places and get rid of Apartheid Israel or live indefinitely as slaves and die as cattle as a sacrifice to Jewish and Talmudic gods!
