The Caucasian War of 1817–1864, also known as the Russian conquest of the Caucasus[1] was an invasion of the Caucasus by the Russian Empire which ended with the annexation of the areas of the North Caucasus to Russia and the Ethnic cleansing of Circassians. It consisted of a series of military actions waged by Russia against territories and tribal groups in Caucasia including Chechnya, Dagestan, Karachay and the Circassians (Adyghe, Kabarday), Abkhaz, Abazins and Ubykh as Russia sought to expand southward.[2]
The Russian–Circassian War, a conflict between Russia and Circassia, was part of the Caucasian War.
Other territories of the Caucasus (Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan) were incorporated into the Russian empire at various times in the 19th century as a result of Russian wars with the Ottoman Empire and Persia.

History

Three Russian Tsars sparked the war: Alexander I, Nicholas I and Alexander II. The leading Russian commanders were Aleksey Petrovich Yermolov in 1816–1827, Mikhail Semyonovich Vorontsov in 1844–1853 and Aleksandr Baryatinskiy in 1853–1856. The writers Mikhail Lermontov and Leo Tolstoy, who gained much of his knowledge and experience of war for his book War and Peace from these encounters, took part in the hostilities. The Russian poet Alexander Pushkin referred to it in his Byronic poem The Prisoner of the Caucasus (1821).
The Russian invasion was met with fierce resistance. The first period coincidentally ended with the death of Alexander I and Decembrist Revolt in 1825. It achieved surprisingly little success, especially as compared with the then recent Russian victory over the "Great Army" of Napoleon.
During 1825–1833 there was little activity, since Russia was engaged in its wars with Turkey and Persia. After considerable successes in both wars, Russia resumed fighting in the Caucasus. They were again met with resistance, notably led by Ghazi Mollah, Gamzat-bek and Hadji Murad. Imam Shamil followed them. He led the mountaineers from 1834 until his capture by Dmitry Milyutin in 1859. In 1843, Shamil launched a sweeping offensive aimed at the Russian outposts in Avaria. On the 28th of August, 10,000 men converged from three different directions on a Russian column in Untsoikul, killing 486 men. In the next four weeks, Shamil captured every Russian outpost in Avaria except one, exacting over 2,000 casualties on the Russian defenders. He feigned an invasion north to capture a key chokepoint at the convergence of the Avar and Kazi-Kumuh rivers.[3] In 1845, Shamil's forces achieved their most dramatic success when they withstood a major Russian offensive led by Prince Vorontsov.
During the Crimean War, the Russians brokered a truce with Shamil but hostilities resumed in 1855. Warfare in the Caucasus finally ended between 1856–1859, when a 250,000 strong army under General Baryatinsky broke down the mountaineers' resistance.
The war in the Eastern part of the North Caucasus ended in 1859 when Shamil was caught by the Russians and forced to surrender and swear allegiance to the Tsar and was sent to live in Central Russia. The war in the Western part of the North Caucasus resumed however with the Circassians (Adyghe, Abkhazian, and Ubykh) resuming the fight. The end was declared on June 2, 1864 (May 21 O.S.), 1864, by manifesto of the Tsar. Among the post-war events, a tragic page in the history of the indigenous peoples of the Caucasus especially the Circassians was Muhajirism, or population transfer of the Muslim population into the Ottoman Empire.[4]

In the middle of the 19th century, large numbers of native inhabitants of the Northwest Caucasus left or were expelled (the reason for their departure is disputed) to the neighbouring Ottoman Empire, following Russian conquest of the region after a long war.
Circassians, the indigenous peoples of the Northwest Caucasus were cleansed[1] from their homeland at the end of the Caucasian War by victorious Russia, which, some argue, by its manner of suppression of the Caucasus directed at the Crimean Tatars and Circassians can be credited with "inventing the strategy of modern ethnic cleansing and genocide".[2] The expulsion was launched even before the end of the war in 1864 and it continued into the 1870s, although it was mostly completed by 1867. The peoples involved were mainly the Circassians (Adyghe in their own language), Ubykhs, Abkhaz, and Abaza.
This expulsion involved an unknown number of people, perhaps numbering hundreds of thousands. The Russians had come to refer to them as mountain-people (горцы, górtsy). The Russian army rounded up people, driving them from their villages to ports on the Black Sea, where they awaited ships provided by the neighboring Ottoman Empire. The explicit Russian goal was to expel the groups in question from their lands.[3] They were given a choice as to where to be resettled: in the Ottoman Empire or in Russia far from their old lands. Only a small percentage (the numbers are unknown) accepted resettlement within the Russian Empire.
An unknown number of deportees perished during the process. Some died from epidemics among crowds of deportees both while awaiting departure and while languishing in their Ottoman Black Sea ports of arrival. Others perished when ships underway sank during storms.[4] Two other Muslim peoples in the northwest Caucasus, the Karachay and the Balkars, were not deported in large numbers after 1864. According to the Russian government's own figures at the time, about 90 percent of the affected peoples were deported.
The Ottoman and Russian fought at least 17 wars between 1568 and 1917. The Ottomans lost vast and often solidly Turkish and Muslim, territories spanning from the Crimea to Circassia to the Russians. The Russians killed many inhabitants of these Ottoman lands and expelled the rest to Turkey. So many Turks descend from refugees from Russia that the adage in Turkey is: "If you scratch a Turk, you find a Circassian persecuted by Russians underneath." [5]

MARCH 31 - THE DAY OF AZERBAIJAN GENOCIDE

Since 1998 March 31st is officially celebrated as the Day of Genocide. Bloodsheds during March massacres in Azerbaijan are one of the most tragic and unforgettable events of the world history.

Nagorno Karabakh events are another evidence of Armenian policy of the massacre and deportation of Azerbaijanis that happened four times during the last century (in 1905-1906, 1918-1920, 1948-1953 and 1988-1989). It is Armenian chauvinism that desired to create "Great Armenia" who is guilty for these tragedies. In early 1918 Armenians started to realize their vicious plans about killing Azerbaijanis living in Baku province. The carnage reached its culmination in March and April of 1918. Massacre of Azerbaijanis was specially brutal in Baku, Shamakhi, Guba, Garabagh, Zangazur, Nakhchivan, Lankaran and other regions. Armenian genocide that happened in 1918 has etched in the memory of Azerbaijanis. More than 50 thousand Azerbaijanis were killed and ten thousands of people were expelled from their own lands in Baku, Shamakhi, Guba, Mughan and Lankaran regions. Nearly 30 thousand Azerbaijanis were killed in Baku.58 villages were devastated in Shamakhi -- 7000 citizens were killed (1653 of them were women and 965 were children). 122 villages in Guba, 150 villages in Nagorno Karabakh, 115 villages in Zangazur, 211 villages in Iravan province, and 92 villages in Gars province were razed to the ground.

Independent investigator Kluge writes: "Armenians tortured and killed Muslim population, hit them with swords, cut their bodies with bayonets, cut the noses, ears and heads of the corpses, burned houses with their residents inside, they removed women's clothes and beat them savagely". These facts are only a small part of Armenian brutality and reflect only three days of the carnages committed in Baku.

Old Shamakhi city suffered more devastating brutality. The part of the city where Muslim people lived was set on fire, 13 mosques including Juma Mosque were burned. Armenians killed 8077 Azerbaijanis in 53 villages of Shamakhi province. 4190 of them were men, 2560 were women and 1277 were children.

Armenians performed three carnages in Guba region with the help of Bolsheviks.

Till June of 1918 Armenians killed more than 16 thousand Azerbaijanis. According to separate sources, almost 12000 Lezghin people and more than 4000 Azerbaijanis were killed during the massacres. Dashnak-Bolshevik alliance destroyed 162 villages in Guba province, 35 of which do not exist ay more.

In March 27th of 1998 President gave a decree that announced March 31st the day of Azerbaijani Genocide to celebrate the tragedy of Azerbaijani massacres.

A rant on weddings...

Warning: THIS EPISODE OF THE REV. KNOW IT ALL IS EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE. IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU OR ANYONE YOU KNOW. PLEASE READ THE WHOLE ARTICLE. THE REV. KNOW IT ALL IS NOT OPPOSED TO ALL WEDDING CELEBRATIONS. HE IS NOT TALKING ABOUT YOUR WEDDING WHICH WAS A TRIUMPH OF PERSONAL SANCTITY AND GOOD TASTE. HE IS PROBABLY JUST HAVING A BAD DAY.

I visited your church once and am thinking about having my wedding there. How long is your main aisle?

Dear Mary,
I am often asked that question, and never quite understand it. Are brides curious about the length of the aisle because they think a longer aisle may give them a few more minutes to back out of the whole thing? Or, as I suspect, does a long aisle prolong the glorious promenade of which a young girl dreams as she thumbs through bridal magazine as she contemplates her special day, when all eyes focus on her as she approaches her enchanted prince and all the world thinks she’s gorgeous and knows that she has bagged her man just as surely as a Wisconsin bricklayer bags a deer and ties it onto the roof of his pick up truck? I have certainly seen a few grooms who look like a frightened deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming truck.

Why is it that weddings cause people to spend so much time, energy and money? And more money. The average American wedding costs almost $29,000, according to “The Wedding Report”, a market research publication. $29,000!” Oh, by the by, the usual donation to the church is about $200.00. That $200 goes to the church, not to the priest. The usual gift to the priest is a hearty handclasp. The usual cost of the photographer is $2,000.00. All this tells me that the photographs are ten times more important than the grace of the sacrament, in most peoples’ estimation. The usual fee for the DJ is $1,500.00. I am consoled by this. It means that painful, occasionally obscene music loud enough to cause brain damage is only 7.5 times more important than the grace of the sacrament.

You must be thinking why is this guy so down on weddings? I am down on some weddings because I am very “up” on the sacrament of matrimony and really in favor of marriage. That’s why the modern method of marrying and the wedding industry make me crazy. They militate against marriage. Here is the heart of my complaint. IT IS STUPID TO SPEND MORE TIME AND MONEY PREPARING FOR THE WEDDING THAN YOU DO PREPARING FOR THE MARRIAGE!!! I have known people who are still paying the credit card bills generated by the wedding years after the marriage is over.
The Modern Method of Marriage, a Reprise. The following is taken from my own experiences and things people have told me (outside of confession, you’ll be glad to know.) Here goes.
A young man and a young woman meet and have a few dates. They go for a weekend at a bed and breakfast where they bed one another, and then have breakfast. If he isn’t too much of a jerk and she isn’t too picky, they are then an item. She goes to the doctor gets a prescription and goes on to a more permanent form of birth control. At some time during this stage, the uncomfortable meeting with the parents happens. Everyone is polite and “supportive.” Secretly the father of the young woman who knows exactly what’s going on, contemplates buying a gun and the mother of the young man begins gossiping with whomever will listen about how her little boy could do better. After a while, if things hold up, they begin to have the conversation about taking their relationship to the “next level” by which they mean shacking up, as we used to call it. Now, I think it’s called moving in together.

Mom and Dad buy housewarming gifts in an attempt to, once again, be supportive. They don’t want their little dears to hate them and besides, it’s what everyone is doing these days, so it can’t be wrong. They have vague thoughts about getting married at that point and mom explains to grandma and to friends at church that they are just doing it to save money for the wedding. At this stage an engagement ring may appear. At some point, when they think about getting the house and the kids, because that’s what you do, they decide to have the wedding.
They rent the hall and then go see the priest. He tells them there are four other weddings that day and they respond, “but we’ve rented the hall already.” Someone suggests a garden wedding if the church is occupied. The priest says we can’t do garden weddings. (More on this later.) The young couple begins to complain about how narrow-minded the Church is with all these rules and regulations. They eventually pick a date. Then the bottom drops out. It seems the groom is not Catholic. He was baptized in the First Reformed Church of the Druids, though he never practiced. This means there must be a dispensation for the marriage, another irritating Catholic invention, and the wedding date cannot be confirmed until the dispensation is received.
The bride goes back to her doctor, this time for a prescription for valium. Her mother joins her on this visit. Finally the dispensation is granted, The groom’s druid will do one of the readings at the wedding, the loans are taken out, the banns are published. Then there is the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The best man comes to the rehearsal drunk out of his mind, the groom only slightly tipsy. The bride is furious at everyone for some reason known to her alone. Probably because the groom is far more interested in drinking and watching the football game on his hand held computer thing than he is in gazing lovingly into her eyes in anticipation of the great day. In fact they haven’t been, well... friendly in weeks. It is, after all, football season.

The special day comes, the best man is still drunk, the groom is hung over, no one knew about that interesting tattoo that the maid of honor had way low on her back, now revealed by the plunging back of her dress that is held up only by wishful thinking. Grandma, upon reading the logo of the maid of honor’s tattoo, has fainted. Somewhere in all this the vows are exchanged, and quite a few of the wedding party receive their first Holy Communion that day, however one of the ushers puts the host in his suit pocket not having a clue what it is. (This actually has happened to me twice.)

The pictures have been taken. The noise level in the church reaches that of an English soccer match after the riot has broken out. The children are jumping off the altar and the priest is scowling at everyone. Now on to the pictures in the forest preserve, a “must” at every wedding. There the wedding party is attacked by mosquitoes, one of the children falls into the lagoon and the bride is having a hard time smiling for the photos. The best man passes out. On to the reception.

The bride loses it because the shade of fuchsia in the floral center pieces clashes with the shade of fuchsia in the wedding party’s outfit. The groom adjourns to the bar where the game is on the television. The wedding dinner is served as music is played at a mind numbing volume. Grandma is better now. She has turned off her hearing aid. The priest is seated with the pious relatives in plaid suit coats and leaves shortly after the grace before meals.
The best man makes the toast which drones on about how he loves the groom and one begins to wonder. The college roommate/maid of honor does the same for the bride, going on for fifteen minutes about how she knew the bride would find eternal marital bliss the moment she met her in the third grade and they have been like sisters ever since. Then at some point, there is a video presentation of embarrassing photos not unlike the ones that are now shown at wakes.

The bar opens up again. The music reaches levels that cause blood to drip from some peoples’ nose and ears. The joyous event ends with the bride and groom being the last to leave the hall. They are slow to go up to the room they have rented in the hotel because nothing new or beautiful awaits them there. The groom promptly falls asleep, being heavily sedated already, and, as he snores away, with his shoes still on, our blushing bride, having shed her dress of virginal white, thinks back on this day, her special day, the most important day in her life, the day she has dreamt of since she was a little girl.
 They will stay an extra day at the hotel, but cannot afford the time or money to go on a honeymoon because on Monday they will both be back at work in order to pay off the colossal bill that their special day has incurred. For some reason, the bride is depressed. Perhaps she is realizing that the high point of her life is now past and the rest of it will be spent with the lump that is now snoring beside her with whom she has never really had a serious conversation, except about the proper shade of fuchsia for the floral centerpieces. So it is that we celebrate the marriage of Christ and His Church in these enlightened and tolerant times.

Remember, none of these things happened at your wedding, thank God and don’t think from reading this that I am down on marriage or even weddings. I love a wedding celebration when there is something to celebrate. Also, it is never too late to begin again by taking Christ and His gospel seriously.

PLEASE SPEND MORE TIME AND MONEY PREPARING FOR THE MARRIAGE THAN YOU DO PREPARING FOR THE WEDDING.

P.S. Garden weddings. They look good in all the bridal magazines but they are just opportunities to feed biting insects and suffer from sunburn. It is however amusing to watch the bridesmaids sinking in the mud as they try, after a few margaritas to maneuver the newly laid sod in spiked heals. The bride is generally exhausted from not having slept for three weeks as she worries about the weather reports which are promising a 50 percent chance of typhoons and earthquakes that day. And destination weddings. Don’t get me started on Destination Weddings! You want to be married with just your closest friends on a beach in Maui. That means that Grandma can’t go because she hasn’t flown since the Hindenburg Disaster, and is thinking of cutting you out of the will, and all the friends and relatives who aren’t with you on the beach in Maui realize they aren’t very close to you after all. And I haven’t a clue how long the aisle is here at St. Dymphna’s.

Look at how happy she was back then and now look at what America has done to her.First she was abducted along with her three children from her own home in Pakistan by the CIA,next uniformed American thugs tortured and raped her over the years in a dungeon at Bagram Airbase, Afghanistan,then to add insult to injury, they give her 86 years in prison to be locked up in a freaking hell hole in Dallas, Texas! Only in America does a rape victim get 86 years in prison while her rapists go away scot free! God damn the judge, God damn the jury, God damn the military and God Damn Jane and Joe Q public for supporting and condoning these atrocities their government does in their name! Americans can't claim ignorance about this! They knew this was going to happen because when israHell did 9/11, government officials and all those damn presstitutes were all talking about using torture all over the tv.Mass murderer George Bush Jr. even said he would take the gloves off(aka get rid of the Geneva conventions) and launch a crusade(a zionist crusade to boot) that would last hundreds of years.  Now we have mass murderer in chief Barack Obama taking over the helm who is the winner of the Noble Peace Prize by bringing desolation to the Islamic World and calling it "peace" all for the glory of the Synagogue of Satan!
 
         How long does the world have to suffer? When will Americans get their heads out of their collective asses? I find it completely unforgivable because God gave us a brain and he gave it to us in order to THINK. If the people of Argentina suspected foul play and cover-up in the immediate aftermath of the AMIA bombing in 1994 how come Americans can't do the same with 9/11? Many Argentinians didn't buy the official government story as they knew it was being pushed by israHell and the United States and they knew israHell was the one that did it. But I guess 9/11 is like the so called holocaust in that it now gives both these countries the excuse to act like spoiled brats on the world stage which is getting millions of people killed and is ruining millions of peoples lives. They are NOT numbers, they are NOT collateral damage, they are NOT terrorists and they are NOT statistics. They are human beings with a name and face behind them.One of them is Aafia Siddiqui.

There are few American intellectuals and journalists that we here at TomatoBubble.com are impressed with. Former Reagan Treasury official and Deputy Editor at the Wall Street Journal, Paul Craig Roberts, is one of those few. In a piece rightly denouncing America's aggressive foreign policy, Roberts commits a double-error when making a comparison to "the Nazis". Here:

"Just as the Nazis proclaimed 'Deutschland uber alles,' neoconservatives proclaim 'America uber alles.' "

Putting aside the fact that Roberts, like so many other truthers, is still evidently clueless as to who the real culprits behind World War II actually were; he should know by now that the term "Nazi" was always one of derogatory Western-Jewish propaganda. The National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP) never referred to themselves as "Nazis." Nonetheless, if one wishes to refer to them as "Nazis" out of disrespect, it's his prerogative. 

But the error which is totally baseless, and cannot be allowed to stand, is this rubbish about "Deutschland uber alles" - (Germany above all things). First of all, the big bad "Nazis" never "proclaimed Deutschland uber alles." That well-recognized term -- often mistranslated to "Germany above all others" and erroneously believed to be the title of the song in question -- is actually only the opening line of the "Deutschlandlied" (Song of Germany). The song, which later became Germany's National Anthem, was penned in 1841 by August Heinrich Hoffmann - nearly a half-century before Hitler was even born, and three decades before the German state (Reich) was consolidated. Far from preaching "supremacy," the "Deutschlandlied" only represented the hopes for the eventual unification of the 30 or so German states, nothing more!

Additionally, the phrase "Deutschland uber alles" - (Germany above all things), is always, and I mean always, presented out-of-context, as if to suggest that the Germans were boasting of their superiority to all other peoples. The following line of the song clarifies and confirms that the anthem, far from being a song about conquest, was actually about the unified defense of the small German states which, historically, have been relentlessly attacked by Romans, Huns, Mongols and, most relevant to the song, the French.  Here is the full translation of the harmless and beautiful song of national defense and brotherhood:

Above everything in the world *   (in terms of love for Germany)

These lyrics transcend ideology and political systems. Indeed, it was the ultra-liberal, western puppet, Jewish-owned Wiemar Republic, not "the Nazis," who declared the Deutschlandlied the National Anthem in 1922! But that won't stop the Marxist-Jewish propagandists from continuing to dupe good men like Paul Craig Roberts with never-ending disinformation about "the Nazis" and the phrase "Deutschland uber alles."

Dr. Roberts -- you of all people - a southerner who has written so passionately and eloquently about the "War of Northern Aggression" ought to have figured out by now that the very same elements which have vilified the South, both in the pages of history books and in bigoted TV Shows such as "The Beverly Hillbillies," are part of the very same crowd that invented the myth of the big bad conquering "Nazis" and "Duetschland uber alles." As it was withthe South, so too it was with Adolf Hitler. Germany, like the South, only wished to be left alone (Though there were indeed Rothschild agents operating at the highest levels of the Confederacy). 

And now you know the rest of the story, the real story, about a single, out-of-context lyric "Deutschland uber alles." Boy-oh-boy was Solzhenitsyn ever right when he warned:

directed by David Belhassen and Asher Hemias. The documentary won the award for "Best Documentary" at the Haifa International Film Festival and was featured as a documentary at the Israel Film Festival in Los Angeles in 2007.

It is claimed in the documentary that the X-ray radiation used on the children was thousands of times beyond the maximum recommended dose and it is suggested that the program was funded by the United States in order to test the effects of large radiation doses on humans.

In fact, the treatment in Israel was the same that was used elsewhere in the world.

The documented dosages given to the Israeli children were similar to (if not less than) that administered to children treated for ringworm at New York University Hospital between 1940 and 1959.

A study from the early 1950s found X-ray treatment effective in almost all cases of ringworm.
The documentary alleges that 100,000 children were irradiated, and that 6,000 of them died shortly after receiving treatment. Many of the 'ringworm children' later developed cancer, and in 1994 the Knesset passed a law mandating the Israeli government to provide them with compensation

All of Judea and its offshoot of Libtardia were shocked at the mistake which was made at a 2017 tennis tournament. Slime Magazine explained:
